  • Some issues with mixels (mixed pixel resolution) caused a significant lowering of the ratings for this entry - Gameboy jam games should be 160x144 pixels, guys! The idea for a large moving garden was very charming, and the 1bit subpixel 1bit was really pleasant to watch. Congratulations on submitting your entry for the GBjam! I hope it was a pleasant experience.

The animation on the main character is incredible. I also loved the setting. It was a little hard to parse some elements, or separate the main character from the background at times... but this had a neat feel.

The main thumbnail animation for the game is so awesome!! I guess because of that I was expecting something a little different. Maybe I didn't make it far enough to see how the two tied together.

I did get a little lost at parts... not really sure what to do. I just ran around clicking the J key hoping it would do something. I was also hoping to use controller as it would've added to the feel. But overall, great entry!

It moves soo smooth! Nice idea, good implementation, I would just like that your main character is more clearly separated from the environment, maybe better outline, or something, and maybe a little less text. However, music, colors, moving as I already said, and entire idea...awesome! Keep going!

Lost some of the story because the prompt seems to close on the last part of each characters message. I *think* I got the ending? but it doesnt seem I could do anything after so I just closed it down. Cool story!

If you speed up the last replicas in the dialogs, the dialog boxes close. Because of this, I missed part of the story, but I still liked the game.

Great game and great story. I loved the plot twist (and the standard unity skybox behind the ending scene :D)

Keep it up!

Gotta make it possible to find the unity skybox somewhere XD

Inspiring character art / animations. I hesitate to say the background was a little too busy in places because the animated background was a really nice touch.

Liked the theme of the last garden and loved the animated cover image.

I like the sprite work! The player char kind of blends into the background sometimes.
