Really nice art and interesting exploration in this. I only managed to find and pick up one piece of data, and wasn't able to figure out much more, but I enjoyed exploring the map. Nice work!

Neat! There is something fun about exploring the area and seeing what you can find. I ran into a number of bugs such as one where Hazel's dialogue kept popping up after slaying the beast but otherwise solid game. The artwork is really good, very detailed for the restrictions with GB Studio.

Fun game I loved walking around and exploring the world. The maze puzzle was clever

You really get the "feeling lost on an alien planet" right! Congrats.

Now I know what getting lost in an alien planet feels like. Nice presentation, the intro was awesome!

We're glad you liked it =D!!!

This was really cool, I really liked the almost analog horror aspect to it. And I think the limitations of the game boy actually really complimented that feel, good job.

Thank you!!! We’re glad you liked it ☺️☺️☺️

I enjoyed exploring the alien planet. Exploration is my favorite part of a game, so this gave me something to chew on! Some of the visuals are quite striking: the alien trees, the beacon flashbacks.

However, the main character should have a bit of animation. The player's eye is on this sprite throughout the entire game, so it should have a little bit of motion at least.

I did get a couple of bugs. When traveling from the north to the screen with the river to the west of the base, the spawn location was putting me inside the trigger, so I was getting sent back north. This soft locked my game, since I couldn't escape that area.

Also, the beacon to the east replayed a dialog that I had already heard from Hazel.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback! Yes I agree on the animations (we barely got the ones that we have in lol). As for the softlock; I just noticed that today too. It connects back to the east of the base if you cross THAT river intersection successfully (I know it's not a solution but it'd be the same path if you go through the base to the east). I'd suggest going north from the eastern side since it's a smoother flow :)

Thanks for playing it! =D

What a creepy experience. I think this would do well to have the "horror" tag. It really felt like their presence wasn't welcome here.

While I did figure out the mechanics somewhat, there were some bugs. I remember trying to sacrifice Hazel only for them to show up again. A couple of times, I interacted with an object, only to somehow interact with the same object from far away. It was a bit finicky.

The maze was clever. It took me a minute to notice what the tell was.

I made it to the end (or is simply an end?). That's a nice, uneasy lack of closure.

Great work!

Hi Clark!
We’re glad you enjoyed it! The creepy vibes are intentional and you most certainly are NOT welcome. We tried to be subversive with our game and its expectations. There IS another ending, I’d love to see if anyone can figure it out 👀.  We have some clues as to what the game is truly about and what the message is; the other ending sorta elaborates on that better. You really have to think outside of the box for the other ending but we’ve put some structural hints in there to help players piece it together.

As for the bugs, there are a couple and we were developing the game right until the 4AM deadline. Did you find anything game breaking in there? Please let us know so we can debug and repost it :)

The concept is cool, I felt a little lost on the map sometimes. The graphics and sounds are cool too! (P.S: I did not sacrifice Hazzel to the beast)

Developer(+1)

Hi Tompson! Thanks for the feedback. It’s valid and definitely was a concern during development. We improved the map design but agree that it could be a bit more engaging in some areas.

about Hazel… you might wanna give it another shot… there’s uh… mechanics still there that are worth exploring 👀 [I know people skip past that but communication is key in this game]

P.S. in some areas… getting lost is intentional👀👀👀

I like the sprites

That would be the work of our resident artist, Mr. Pergerson!
