The game could get really surreal if you take the way the first level progresses into a very similar second level and expand on that. It looked like the current thing was two separate iterations of the same level at various points in its design, but something that really messes with the player in that vein could be a viable direction to take should you so choose.
Structurally the game is sound, the music and art competent. The first level doesn't really need you to use the tools you are given, but they were identifiable and distinguishable.
If this is music that's outside of your comfort zone, you're doing quite well!
You say you've never made music before, but both tracks are awesome! (I liked the 2nd one the most c: ). Interesting game! I'd only like to move a little faster in the full version :) good job
I appreciated the tutorial with clear explanations for all the items. I really liked the spookimeter, too. I loved the ghost sprite and palette. You mentioned you stepped outside of your comfort zone with the sound. High five on that! IMO, game jams are all about learning new skills and stepping outside your comfort zone is how you do that. Nice job!
Love the mechanics and the level of detail in the tuturial, really clear what the game is and how to play. it would be nice to see more levels but other than that its a fun and cute game
The music and graphics are very nice! Definitely feels and looks like a Gameboy game.
It was cute! The soft soundtrack and sfx really take me back to my GameBoy days :')
I enjoyed the game!
Totally captures the gameboy soul. The graphic and sounds are great. :)
Poor crows :)
But I love the idea and gameplay!
