How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
Horror music, and aesthetic. Sadly I only had 4 days cause I joined the jam last minute, so I had to scrap the giant pumpkin fight even though it was fully finished. Some memory leak issue kept forcing the cave area to not load properly and crash the game. So enjoy the forest and town and kill some lil bugs!

for 4 days this is fairly well made, the player feels nice to control and the art and audio are nice. It doesn't feel super spooky but maybe that's where the cave would have come in. but again in 4 days while learning godot this isn't bad by any means, overall a fairly solid entry.
Nice job for only 4 days and learning Godot. The scaling seems messed up as the game stretches with the window and scales out of resolution, but thats easily fixed after the jam.
Would have liked to see the things you weren't able to finish.
One thing that bothered me was that enemies were still able to hurt me when they flashed while dying.
Good work overall!
Hey nice try for learning godot in so little time. I loved the music, the graphics are awesome and overall the gameboy soul was a smash.
Neat game! Artwork is nice, would have loved to have seen the caves!
Liked the direction of this, seems like it was going to be a pretty big adventure if finished! Good first shot at using Godot, would've loved to see the giant pumpkin fight!
For being made on a modern engine, this game feels so much like a Gameboy title, I could have confused it for a Gameboy game under the right circumstances! The graphics and audio supplement that feel really nicely, and the gameplay feels smooth and flows well! As far as aesthetic, this feels more upbeat and charming than spooky, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since I tend to prefer games with an upbeat tone personally, but since 'spooky' is the secondary theme, it looses points as far as interpretation. Still, I'd love to see this game fleshed out a bit more and including the cut content! It sounds like that would be a fun time! :)
