How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
This is a 2D horror adventure stylized as a gameboy, using the theme "spooky"

haha what a fun little game! I like all the animations, really add to the atmosphere. As others already have said though, I really wished there was some music and sound effects to go with it. Great entry, good job!

Not bad. I like the art for the backgrounds well enough, and it feels like something you'd play on a Gameboy. The twist ending also threw me for a loop, and I'd say it was the best part of this whole experience! However, the gameplay leaves a little bit to be desired, and there were no sounds or music. I'd say for your next iteration of this type of game, maybe add a few puzzle elements in place of some of the fetch quests and maybe add some audio to break the silence. As it is, it's an okay experience. :)

Really nice! I liked the graphics and animations. The ending gave it a nice twist!

It was nice. There is no sound though.

Did not expect the ending! I really like the screen with the river rushing under the bridge. I think restarting the game after choosing an ending seems to break the dialogue interaction.

Hmmm.... the use of Alt as a control seems to introduce a lot of friction with my Window Manager. I get stuck going a direction even after letting off all the controls. I've seen this happen trying to play DOS games using DOSBox when I haven't rebound Alt, too, so it's definitely something that happens consistently to me.

Unsure if this is a problem for other people (using XFCE in Linux is probably relevant here), or if it's just my untypical setup.

(Found a workaround -- it seems z also works as an interact button)
