Nice shmup! Felt nice to be able to rotate the shots when moving. Art was nice - early ships reminded me of a Nautilus. Well done!

Retro style is great, and the movement feels really nice. Great game!

Thank you very much!

Juicy SFX and graphics, one of my favourites so far!

Thanks for trying and sharing your experience. You should try the Fruity Tower. that game has JUICE

This is a pretty fun game, I appreciate that you guys went out of the way to have the ship smoothly tilt when moving instead of just having it snap to a direction! I do feel like moving horizontally is a bit slow though and the game becomes too easy once maxed out, but other than that I think this is a pretty solid game. Nice Job!

Hello there MegaFuze!

I'm glad you liked it and thank you for the feedback! The movement (and the whole mechanics) needs some touchups. We had ideas for making the game not so easy but had no time to do them.

Cool visuals and well implemented concept!

Fun entry!

Well done polished submission.

I liked (and wish I had done in my space shooter) the red screen border on taking damage and continuous weapon fire when holding.  Sound effects were a good fit.

Hi there Bsix!

This is a really well made shooter, there's a lot of polish on it. The movement and shooting feel great, very satisfying. I love the little drift you put on the ship when it starts moving up and down, and the dash is snappy. The graphics are all really well made and all support the theme.

I got the ship upgraded all the way and was blasting through everything. It was a tad easy at this point, and I wouldn't of minded larger spawns of enemies. I do love the breaking of the space rocks into multiple chunks.

There's the starting works of something great here, I'd love to see it fleshed out further.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it. (I'm not a fan of the movement, but seems like I'm just bad at it.)

The balance is off the rails at this point, but we in the works of making it feel more demanding.

Nice game !
The shooting & movement feels nice. the anticipation frames on the ennemies are really neat & make the fight very readable.
As said before me. The game get a bit too easy once fully upgraded. It could use 1 or 2 more tougher enemies variation to spice it up, but in the constraint of a game jam that's already a very good amount.

Great job !

Developer

Thank you for taking a look and sharing your thoughts!

The end of the jam just came too soon and had no quality time to balance the enemies and make more. But will do in the future.

Nice experience ! The game is pretty addictive :p

It is maybe too easy to survive once the weapon is fully charged.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment! You are indeed spot on about the game being too easy after the weapon is maxed out. A little more playtesting and balancing would’ve been great, but we’ve spent too much time adding features :)

The sounds are just fire! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to the next upgrade, they killed me :D

Developer

Thanks for trying the game, Vlad! :)

The sounds were created using Chiptone, it’s a seriously awesome tool.
