Once upon a time, many seasons ago. There was a small village of musically talented and gifted wizards. One day a fairy came to there village and taught them how to combine their musical talents with their magic gifted by the Gods. Until a great darkness fell upon the this little village, monsters of all kinds started to ravage the town until nothing was left. Not all is lost only one little wizard remained a young talent musician and spell caster named Clara. She was working in the fields tending to her herbs and medicines until the fairy came to tell her the grave news. It is up to her to save what is left of her village so she goes on a quest to rid the land of these evil ones.
The concept of this game is original and Innovative. However the controls are a bit confusing did not recognize it as music notes. E chord C Chord and so on. I did get confused when it came to casting the spells using the number system and constantly pressed the letters on my key board instead of the numbers. What I would suggest is changing the numbers on the top to maybe the numbers on the left of the arrow keys and make the movement wasd this way the player can be quick as fast with their spells, so if you are going to change it instead of going if key num 1 is press select if numpad 1 is press . Also to note excusing the pun is to identify the notes as music sheet notes instead of cords then that way the player will not get confused. I have to confess I did watch the review of the game by LevelupwithAlex so I instantly knew how to play the game if I didn’t I would have never guessed they were notes. Graphics wise the characters are small and cute like final fantasy 2 on SNES but, as I understand you probably didn’t have enough time to put in more assets. Would be nice to see a full fledged map with more to do and see like shops and other villages. The sound does switch off every other sound when I cancel the spell. I hope this game continues to be worked it is a nice concept especially for music lovers. Keep it up.
got almost the same name, well done! can you please play my game to get feedback!
Amazing concept! It was really cool experimenting and seeing all the different combinations of spells in the game. I struggled with looking at my spell resources and avoiding the rift enemy projectiles at the same time so I kept dying, especially with the low health of the character.
It's mostly a me problem, but maybe .5 timescale when the first part of the spell is selected to help with accessibility? Either way, can't wait to see what you do next!
Love the game concept. I played the GD.games version, the art was also nice but I wasn't able to enter the house. Was they a key for that?
Good concept, I hope to hear more about this project has ideas and potential.
Very creative, the combination of letters provides players with many ways to fight! It would be nice if the player's initial health volume could be higher.
Great concept and the idea is fantastic. I hope you continue developing this post-jam. Great work!
I LOVED this idea as someone who loves music. I gave you a full score in originality and innovation because I thought the idea itself was just so neat. I will say, I struggled with the controls at first but once I got used to dodging and casting it got a lot better. I hope you expand this idea once the jam ends because it's very clever. Great job!
For those that don't want to dowload a file, it's on gd.games: https://gd.games/harieiv/unsound-game
