Nice idea and great implementation, the web build worked ok to me. Congrats!

How did you incorporate the theme?
We incorporated the theme by having the player reuse scrap resources lying around to build their defenses. The towers can also be scrapped and reused this way

Loved the mix of first person and tower defense! And having it in a goofy farm setting with mechs just made it that much better!
This is quite nice, I love the idea. However it would have been nice if the IA could do more than go straightforward. Also I have some issue with the audio, the shooting sound is meh, it doesn't feel good to shoot, which is a problem in a fps game. It's due to the annoying shooting sound and the lack of visual feedback, but it can be improved and I hope it will be. This has a lot of potential so I really hope to see updates for this one :)
Thanks for the feedback! we have a lot to learn x) Was tough to make the AI do more due to time constrains, had to use Maximo for the 3rd enemy’s rig.
Its is also our first time using fmod in a game so there were a lot of issues to solve, the webgl build is a bit more buggy with audio since the files load in slow.
Our focus was more on the towers and collecting/reusing scrap mechanic so yes, the shooting feedback is lacking a bit, thanks for pointing it out!
I wish this was more optimized :( I think it’s nice but hard to play because the mouse does not go with the cursor so I don’t get full 360 control
I really couldn't play due to the lag on the web build, so I'm not gonna rate it.
I asked earlier on the discord and we're allowed to make builds as long as we dont alter the game itself.
Maybe putting platform specific versions would help your entry. (if you do I'll come back, looks fun!)
*I'm suffering the same issue on my entry, and so I haven't enabled web builds, sadly.
The game is laggy and unoptimized, we were rushing trying to implement everything and overlooked testing performance… sometimes it takes a while to load :3 (try refreshing once if it stays stuck) I’ve also had an issue with a game not loading due to cookies being blocked weirdly. Hope it helps! :)
The web version doesn't work well with 3D at some point, at least in my experience with Godot Engine but I think it's common to all major game engines. I think in this game jam you are allowed to to upload different builds for the game if you didn't add any feature or bug fix so you can try asking the staff if you're allowed to do so. (Just a word of caution: I'm not accountable for anything if you do something bad without asking them!)
I tried doing what you say already but it didn't help :/ But if you try the solution above I think you might have something working BUT - even better! I know an HTML version is important for easy access but sometimes it's better to scrap it if performances are too poor ^^
This was an ambitious one! Very cool idea and very well done! The graphics are awesome and was really fun too -fantastic work! :D
