I really liked the glitching effect in the title screen and hoped to see it in the game , The game play was really great , I like the idea that the more you try the more you gain score. I just wanted to see the glitch effect more like maybe u can make the game glitch and then you can see the invisible objects for a split second while u r moving idk. but over all this a beautiful game !

Developer(+1)

One of the main issues everyone was having is that I didn't explain the "other side" feature well enough. Terribly sorry about that. If you hold down Right Mouse Button, you see the other side. Plenty of glitch effects there too. I'm glad you liked what you played, but so sorry you didn't get the full experience due to my lack of explanation in game. Lesson learned lol. Thank you for playing and leaving the feedback!!

Oh wow 😂

I didn't know i missed that , I am playing it again with this knowledge 😁

Developer(+1)

😄 Totally my fault

Submitted(+1)

It is okay, And I had to say that's waaaay better that i had in my head the glitch effect was just 👌👌👌👌👌

I loved this game! The controls were smooth and well-done, the other side feature was implemented well, the music and sound were really good, and I really like how the idea is creative and interesting while also making for fun gameplay. It also has a surprisingly good horror factor. Aside from some small nitpicks, my only complaint is that it took a while to find out the secret. I like the mystery, but it would be nice if you had at least hinted at what the secret may be. Overall, it’s a great game, and you should be proud of yourself!

Developer

Definitely agree I should've not been AS secretive about the other side. Other's agree as well. I really appreciate taking the time to play and leaving the great feedback! So glad you had fun playing it.

The intrigue! The mys𝐭ery! I need to know more! But in all honesty, I t𝐡ought this gam𝐞 was super c𝐨ol. I love how you in𝐭erpreted the t𝐡eme, and the atmosph𝐞re for each side is pe𝐫fect (I honestly got a little scared if I stayed on the other side too long). I al𝐬o liked how the controls were really intuitive and s𝐢mple. I don't know if its just me, but sometimes the ball doesn't bounce off the walls at the angle I expect it to. And if I were to give one suggestion, it is to hint how to activate the other si𝐝e better. The way I figured it out is that on a f𝐞w levels in I clicked the question mark which told me about a secret button, and, I don't know why, but my first instinct was actually to press rmb. Usually im not too good at golf games, so on my second attempt I got +16. In the end, I thought this was made very well, so Great Job!

Developer

The common response so far has been about hinting the other side feature better. I certainly agree too. I was going for a little mystery but looks like I went a little too far. As for the angle of bouncing, I had this issue as well. I think it's the polygon collision shape for the ball object. I tried few things and gave it more vertices to make it "rounder". But, yeah, it went unresolved to get the rest of the game done. I think I should've made the par's a little more forgiving too. My own scores during testing weren't much better than yours lol. Thank you for giving it a play and the awesome feedback!!

Amazing! I love it. It took me a while to figure out how to see the other side (i should pay more attention LOL) but what a great concept for the theme. The other side is sooooo freaky, reminded me of Stranger Things.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad the theme came across as intended. I learned a lesson on this one, 'Be sure to give good instructions early on'. I really should've made it a bit more obvious. I played out the 'secretive' part a little too much.

Cool game, only one bug - if the ball stops touching one of those green triangles, it endlessly spawns and softlocks the game - can't hit again. Encountered this relatively early on though so it wasn't too bad to restart.

great job!

Developer

Dangit! I hat that it bugged out like that. A week of testing and I never got that bug. I hope the restart was at least somewhat fun. Thanks for playing!! The feedback is helpful for sure.

Great game! Loved the audio and the idea was a nice twist to golf, didn't encounter any bugs during my run, good job!

Developer

Fantastic! I'm so glad someone had a clean run lol.  I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing and the great feedback!

I found a bit annoying that i couldn't hit the ball without adjusting his trajectory a bit first, and also sometimes the ball didn't traveled in the trajectory that i expected to travel (that could just be me being sh*t at calculating xD)

REALLY Good Game!! It feels really polished!! Also the artstyle is amazing!! At first it seems like a normal golf game, but then you play level 2 and... BOOM, mind blowing... O.o The only thing I'd work on is the explanations and/or feedback, that they could improve a bit, but other than that this game is awesome!! Good Job!!

Developer(+1)

I agree, I should've given a little more explanation in the beginning for the 'other side' feature. You should always be able to click and drag to change the trajectory, I hope there wasn't another bug I missed. I certainly appreciate you giving it a play and offering the great feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Ehm, you have misunterstood what i said. Sorry for explaining it poorly, my bad :/

I WAS always able to change the trajectory, at any time. My complain here is that i HAD to, even when i didn't wanted to do that, if i wanted to adjust the force: there was times where i was ok with the default trajectory of the ball but i couldn't adjust the force without changeing the trajectory a little bit

Hope it's more clear what i meant, and i hope i have cleared the misunderstanding now. Cheers (^u^)

my first play was super hard as I didnt know how to see the other side. Ended with +20 lol. After reading the comments and finding the other side, the game is alot better! I thought mine was glitched at first when I kept getting stuck in the invisible bunker :D

Developer

Sorry about that. I guess more hints at the beginning of the game would've been best. And don't worry, I had a +12 run during testing and I actually made the game lol!! Thanks for playing and the feedback!

I really like the effect on the other side. Take on the theme is good but I think would had been greater if other side things was moving, to force you get it back regularly. Though great job.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

I  really enjoyed this one! I'm giving 5 stars of Geometricness just because of your take on the Theme.

PS: 5 stars on the theme as well :)

Developer

You! Are! Awesome! Seriously though, so glad you liked the theme. I had fun in this jam!

Fun game :D

Developer

Thank you!!!

Heh, this was funny. I kinda wish you had leaned even more into it and started to add more and more horrifific things to the other side as the game progressed to make the effect last longer, but it was still a neat little surprise when I first discovered the other side.

Gameplay was also neat, but I felt like something was off with the physics? Like, unless you take spin into account, the emergent angle should never be larger than the incident angle, right? Or do I have an error in my thinking? Also, sandpits are very hard to see, even on the other side.

Otherwise, pretty neat game! Shrinking the ball as it goes into the hole is a nice touch.

Developer

Hey thanks for noticing all the little details. I will admit the physics got away from me and I dedicated more time to polishing other parts of the game. I often try to put too much into a small project and I need to discipline myself into focusing on a smaller amount of details. I kinda relied on the game engine's take on physics instead of really committing the time to get full control of the ball. It ended up being a sacrifice to get more of the other mechanics and effects completed. Thank you for plating and the awesome feedback!

I realized that you can click rmb only after completing the game lol. To be honest I'm not into turn-based games but it's nice.

Developer

Aww, I debated myself over telling people about that feature before they played or not. Ultimately I went with letting the player figure it out along the way in game. Perhaps a better hint in the beginning would've made things better. Thank you for playing!!!

nice other side. your  golf game  is very well implemented and fun to play .

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Really glad you liked it! Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Ooo ohhh buddy its amazing, more like a horror game for me when i click the right mouse button i got surprised its amazing

Developer

I agree, 'Other Side' felt like a horror theme when I first heard it.  Thanks for playing and the feedback!!

Nice game ! Loved the spooky surprise when finding the "forgotten" mecanic ;)

I did get a bug with the ball finishing reeaaallllyyy closely to the "invisible bumping device", with unending sound "Bling" of the ball bouncing of it.

Overall, nice game :)

Developer

Oh no! Did the flashing eventually stop? Just curious... Stupid physics ;)  Thanks for playing and the feedback!!
