Great tutorial ! I didn't really understand the control scheme to be 100% honest, but the tutorial was really well put together. Congrats on finishing your first game, keep going !

Developer

Thanks!

First of all, congrats on finishing your first game jam! - Second, the game is hard to play mainly because of the movement mechanic. It's difficult to grasp (at moments I was trying to do random stuff just to make the square move.

Eh

Developer

Thanks for playing

I tried to learn the controls, couldn't figure it out, when do I dash left/right/up? Is it random? When can I roll and when can I not? The game looks fun and the movements are smooth, so was the audio, I just didnt know how to move my character.

Developer

If you previously moved right, you will dash right, same for left, up, down, and same for rotation on space. All that are actions for black sides, when you're on red sides you can move on floor and on walls

Thanks, I'll try it again now and then rate it.

Thanks for playing

Congratulation for finishing your first game. I finish the game, but I had a hard time understanding controls. I'm still not sure. I think you perhaps need some visual hint to say, you can dash/rotate. I know that black side can dash, and red can rotate, but when I think I can dash, it sometimes not work... Thought the theme is respected, geometricness too. Tutorial was really poslished (but not enough explicit on detail I think). Visual simple, but it works. You added sound effects, some music would have add to the mood. Well done.

Developer

Well, I think you're right, as a lot of people found it difficult to understand controls. Thank you for playing

Nice little concept. I couldn't get a grip on the controls though, I kept mashing space, shift and the arrows which strangely seemed to work :). Nice game and well done if this is your first effort, you did great!

Haha, thanks

Your first game?? I don't believe that ;)  Seriously though, very creative and original. There was a steep learning curve for me. I had a hard time figuring out what was going on until I came back and read some comments. Then I was able to understand it better. Good job on everything!

Developer(+1)

I've been learning gamedev and programming for few months, and it's the first game without any tutorials

Thank you for playing

This is really cool, and interesting! I definitely have never seen anyone do anything like this. Although the controls were kinda confusing, so I had a pretty hard time moving around. Maybe you could explain the controls a little better because they arent super clear. And I wish the game was longer, cause I just wanted to keep playing. Also adding some music would make it better. Anyway, Congratulations on your first jam game! Its definitely a good one.

Developer

Thank you! If you're on red sides you can move on floor and walls, if you're on black ones - you can dash and rotate 90 degrees in the direction you previously moved.

Submitted

Oh thats cool. I played it again and it makes much more sense.

This is really creative tbh. The idea is nice but the execution is not so perfect. There are bugs here and there but the gameplay was smooth.  The music is not so perfect but does the job. Theme interpreted well. Good job.

Developer(+1)

Yep, I know, but code is so messy it would take me another week to fix bugs lol

Very interesting idea and well executed! It needs a bit of time to get used to the mechanics, but I guess that's the idea, to really learn how to navigate with the cube. Well done!

Developer

ye thanks!

Wow nice implementation of the theme! It is impressive that this is your first game!

This game is in desperate need of music.

Developer

thank you, I have experience in animation and design so it helped

Nice Tutorial :)

Game mechanics seems to be nice, but keyboard presses doesn't register everytime, and resetting doesn't help some time, I couldn't move from the second map :/

Nice first game, continue like this ;)

Developer

sorry for that, thank you for playing

- it 's a bit difficult to get all the keyboards pressing to move .

Developer
