impressive work! very nicely polished

I didn't read the description properly so I thought the goal was to collect the shield orbs for points. Once I got the hang of doing the platform jumps, it made for a quite zen-game. I got 112 points.
If you want you can check out my puzzle-platformer game here: https://bcmpinc.itch.io/defiance.

A good execution of a nice simple idea. A few nitpicks: the increase speed on platform transition was a bit jarring coupled with my apparent inability to ever be on the correct side at the end of a platform (which is my problem, not the game's problem) ate a lot of my hearts. I also felt that sometimes the platforms were a bit chaotic on how I was supposed to approach them but I'm sure if I played more I would get used to them.

Really nice game, bit hard and I wish the was a better way to indicate that you need to be in a certain position when you need to fall, but again a really good game here.

Loved this one! It isn't the most original but the quality for such a short amount of time is insane! Super well done.

Made an account just to leave a comment for this game. I enjoyed it a great deal, the visual and sound design were both incredibly engaging and though I'm awful at the game, it definitely didn't deter me from giving it a few tries. Very replayable! :) Looking forward to a potential full release!

Extremely high quality game. would play it for hours if I wasn't awful at it (desperately tried to get on the high score board but was not able to).

Extremely well polished for such a small amount of time. Music and visuals were on point for the type of gameplay that you were attempting to create. The mechanic is interesting and a good variation of other similar pre existing mechanics.

Would work amazingly well as a mobile title, I would definitely download a full release.

High quality! Great presentation. I just wish I could use a mouse click to "Reflect".... 13/15

I definitely need more practice but this is a brilliant game, fun and cute, I liked it! I think it would make a great phone game as well :)

Developer

Thank you! I do have plans to produce a post-jam version and a mobile version - so we'll see where that goes! Glad you liked it :D

Really fun to play!

It looks really nice and smooth.
The gameplay become repetitive fast but it's fun for a while.

Congrats!

Haha cool idea and nice work! We had a pretty similar idea :D Unluckily we didn't manage to upload a Browser build :/ If you have some spare time you can check out ours https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463199

Nicely done! I love the fade in/out when you switch the music on and off: that's a very nice touch.

It would be nice if the Space key would select menu items and restart the game after you die instead of having to use Enter.

I had a lot of trouble training myself which side to be on at the end of the platforms. That felt backwards to me for some reason. I think I wanted to "jump" through and "up" to the next platform, instead of just waiting to fall off the end? It always felt like the next platform was too far away and that you'd fall through the gap if you just ran off the end, so maybe a subtle jump/ramp shape at the end of the platforms would help? Or maybe it's just me.

But yeah. A fun infinite runner and lots of nice polish.

The game is very nice! I like the coherence of the whole theme of the game, the music, the graphics, etc. Well done

Great visuals and sounds. Also great concept and game-feel.

The level difficulty starts too hard too fast.

There's an audio glitch when you restart the game that scared the crap out of me.

Great work!

Music way hyype, did you make that as well?
Gameplay was fun. I found myself trying to jump between platforms with space, wonder if that's just a person hiccup  or something that could be taught through level design.
Great time + leaderboards!

Simple concept, nicely executed. The music was a nice touch to the joyful theme. Enjoyable game, though quite hard.
