I saw Mark play this on stream and wasn't disappointed when I played this myself. It is a simple concept near perfectly executed, good job!

This game was a super cool concept! While the actual beat of the music was a little unclear to me, I loved rushing to put together the least strange sentences for the date. The best parts were when you had to choose multiple in a row, without knowing your options, resulting in some hilariously strange and disturbing combinations. Good job!
I somehow won despite my terrible decisions. Very nice idea!
Edit: Oh and I love the artwork!
Definitely the most unique take on the theme so far and super fun and frantic too! Small note though: The game doesn't seem to work if you lose and then restart without closing the entire game and turning it on again.
Very cool game!!! I don't have really enough good feedback to give, maybe other than sometimes there isn't really enough time to read all the options and sometimes you have to react fast to a bad options... Well, Good job!!! 馃憤
This is hilarious, I really loved playing it! I even played it through a couple times just to see the other results, unfortunately I was never able to win the girls heart :( But great work and the audio matches the visuals so dang perfectly its great! Great use of the theme and chill game play, a nice change from the more chaotic games in this jam
I would sell my mansion because I'm okay with my life.
The game is really cool, I had this thought of an out of control date and I really liked to see it implemented. I don't really have anything bad to say about it, nicely done!
The game was really. Some dialogue combinations were truly ridiculous (Like my passion is murdering and destroying my mom). Also the game was very nice visually and the background music was very pleasant.
Really great fun! Watching all of the ridiculous combinations that can accidentally pop up and your date's reaction to them is priceless.
Wiw, this is such an amazing game that I accidentally misspelled "wow".
The graphics is a amazing, with some great audio! Also the gameplay is really fun, trying to impress my date with "I would buy a mansion, because I love my money." Great job!
Amazing game, I laughed a lot. Also that song is now playing in my head, thanks :)
This game is hilarious! The bird's horrified expression when I (mistakenly) entered that I loved murdering people made me laugh out loud
I'm glad my passion for murdering by myself didn't faze my date!
This was a super humorous game! I wish the rhythmical element was more prominent, because it seemed to just be an invisible timer. Everything else was really awesome.
Also thanks for including an ini with all the dialogue. It's fun to mess with it!
I enjoy the concept, it was a really interesting take on a generally fairly static genre (I think, haven't played much in this area). Absolutely stunning art and good expressive feedback with it. Found the scrolling a bit finicky, I wasn't sure which direction to scroll (sometimes up worked, sometimes it didn't.) Also really hard for me to tell while reading and thinking how long I had left. Two suggestions I can make are have it fully loop in either direction so I can always scroll one way or the other. And maybe a music guide or something to let me know how long I have until my choice is locked.
Thanks for the great game.
Thank you! As the artist, I'm so glad you liked the character expressions - that was probably what I had the most fun with xD
I can't comment on the scrolling mechanics as I had 0% contribution to the coding and I can't run the game myself (Mac RIP), but circular scrolling does sound like the best method. I imagine it, just like the accessibility option of a timer, got thrown to the wolves as we prioritised getting that core gameplay to work in the 48 hours!
Glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for commenting!
I love the way this fits the theme, really fits with the awkward atmosphere of a date. I dont know much about the rhythmical aspect, but simply the time limit works. The dialogues are pretty funny when messed up, and the art is great, so nice job. There were a few occasions when I said really weird stuff or on the contrary really nice stuff and didnt get a reaction, but that's to be expected I guess. Also sad that there's a bug where you cant date anymore if you fail...
Thank you, glad you enjoyed how it fits into the theme! As the artist, I'm glad you liked the art too!
Yeah, we were working on it right up to the death, so a number of things slipped through the cracks, most notably the now somewhat-beloved 'permadeath' bug xD If you do find yourself wanting to try again, restarting the game does clear it out. Thank you for playing and commenting!
