Nice, simple and fun.
And oh so good looking and sounding.
One thing I would suggest is to somehow give a warning that the mischievous cat will trigger something a bit before it actually happens. It's not too bad with speeding up, slowing down and stopping, but the swapping of stars and skulls sometimes felt a bit cheap.
But anyways, loved playing your game. Good job!
Wow really cute, simple, and fun! The art is incredible and the music is lovely! I could see this as a highscore based game (especially as phone app but any set up would do!) Also it's really polished.
Thank you!!
Really captures how anoying a cat can be, well done!
The game is very cute, it is very fun, it is very simple, it is great to pass the time and the music is also very nice to hear! My only suggestion: avoid compressing the files outside any folder, always compress a folder, get more organized if the person presses the famous Extract Here! Overall, a great experience!
Oh that’s a great suggestion which I totally overlooked. I’ll try to remember to do that once the voting is over. I assume you’re talking about the Windows version, yeah?
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
Exactly! But happens! Once again, excellent work!
Very nice submission! My main recommendation would be that it's really hard to tell if you are winning or losing at any given point, so a star/skull counter would be nice. Also when you win it only asks if you want to restart, but then it takes you to the menu. Good job overall though, the art and music are great!
Visuals are very cute =)
Cute cats :3
That cosmic cat is absolutely cute! Good use of the theme and very good game!
The graphics and the sound come together so nicely, wonderful collab! 💛🌟💛 The ethereal sounds go really well with the glittery, spacey visuals. Also everything reminds me of sparkly stickers I used to collect in primary school and I love it. 🤩
The skulls seem to be impossible to avoid sometimes, but it doesn't seem to have mattered much in this game (it was kinda easy haha), and it kind of works like a toy/instrument too, so a never ending version might work really well too! Could listen to those sounds for a long time, very relaxing. 💫
Thank you!!
Aside from our discussing an initial basic theme, the way the art turned out is 100% Alix's wonderful ideas. I know the kind of stickers you're talking about and it's totally like that! The art definitely directly inspired the music/sfx too.
I actually had a crisis halfway through the jam where I couldn't get things to stay in time musically without mountains of extra tedious work... but when I took a step back and looked at Alix's art (and with some suggestions from her), it hit me that I should just make it a more ambient thing that doesn't need super precise timing. So her work kinda saved me from a breakdown, hahaha 😅
Regarding the skulls: yeah, there's definitely room for improvement. I'm not super pleased with the hitbox or the full randomness of how they spawn. It'd be nice to find a way to make the game a bit more challenging and a bit more fair at the same time.
Thanks again for playing and for all the kind words!
Yaasss, Alix to the rescue!! 💃 Forgot to say on here, but the character design is obviously amazing and so adorable! 😭
I suggest to give feedback BEFORE an effect is applyed (While leaving the WHEN appens feedback) because otherwise feels a little bit unfair. Other than that is a really fun game, Good Job!!! 👍
This is a good idea, and we were actually considering something like that! Maybe a little thought bubble that appears above Commander Cat's head shortly before he does an action. Unfortunately we just ran out of time 😅. Thank you for playing!
Very cute with a simple gameplay loop :)
This is nice ^^
Very cute game, I like how realistic the cats behaviour is.
Didn't notice the notes that play when you collect stars at first, it's pretty cool! As the game goes faster the high-pitchness of the sounds start to hurt a little on the ears however.
Yeah you're definitely right. We really just ran out of time to fix that 😭 Thank you for playing though!
That's a mood x.x Even just one more hour to work would've been so nice.
Very cute game!
I had some performance issues, but thats just me. Loved the sharp controlls and cute art
Great concept! The audio is really good. I agree with the other comment that the moving between the lines is a bit jarring, but other than that it was a fun time!
So glad you had fun! Thanks for giving it a shot :)
The cutest little OMS look at that game someone send help THIS CHUGGER IS DANCING ON MY SCREEN ITS THE CUTEST. I can't handle.
I do wish the sounds were less sharp, and it seemed kinda unfair at times but,
LOOK AT THIS, YES!
Thanks for playing!
Yeeeeah some of the sounds can get pretty sharp when the game gets fast. Sorry about that. We did what we could to address that in the time given, but it’s certainly not perfect.
if i didn't suck at rhythm games this would prolly slap hard af
Thanks for giving it a try!
Generate music is a great idea. The visual style is fantasic.
Room for improvement- the movement between the tracks is rather jarring, making it difficult to predict how you will move to avoid obstacles. Sound design is great.
For sure! We thought about ways to make the player movement more interesting/better, but we ultimately decided to prioritize other things. Thanks for playing and for the kind words! :)
