Original idea. Became not very fun to me after some time, but still a nice typing practice :) The visuals are pretty nice though.

I love the concept here! I wish there had been more sound in this game -- little wiggles when the keys are about to jump, and jubilant pops and whooshes as they fly free; they can squirm and complain as they are clicked back into place; and the clacking of the typist resumes.

I'm curious: how much of the manifesto string did you load into this game? Could I potentially retype the entire thing word-for-word?

Considering the time constraints, and our extant mode of production, I would say you made an excellent game. Great work!

SOLIDARITY FOREVER! ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Haha Thanks! Unfortunately we didn't include the whole manifesto (we were a little out of practice, didn't even get to include the sounds we had planned ;), but I'd really like to break the whole thing up in to chapters and have the game mechanics reflect the chapters, right now we only have a little bit.

We also want the keys to taunt you as they flee. Right now it's a bit too tedious, we've been thinking of ways to "optimize" the typing and focus more on repairing the keyboard, like perhaps you only need to type the first letter of every word.

This game is hilarious! Don't think I would play it again but I had a great time!

I think this is a pretty great interpretation of the theme, honestly. It was very funny how often the E key would pop off, considering how often that key is used in the manuscript being typed out. I felt like I was a haggard father begging a rebellious child to please stop throwing spaghetti against the wall just because "I can do what I want, dad". Though I personally believe some extra sound effects would have really helped to sell the comedy vibe, and drive a bit more attention towards the free-thinking keys, I overall think this is a fun experience. Nice work! :D

the entire premise of this game is just so much fun! i literally couldnt stop laughing because the game was so hard (because i type like a 80-year-old) but at the same time it was pure comedy to write down marxist ideas while trying to keep my keys on the board. great job!!!

Great idea and I really love the setting (THE SETTING NOT THE IDEA THAT IT REPRESENTS, JUST TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR HERE, EVERYBODY, PUT THE TORCHES DOWN PLEASE, LET BE CIVILIZED, jeez...).

However it gets kind of tedious quick. An could use some nice crunchy typing sounds, but still - cool, unique concept :)

The game quickly turned into a game of multi-tasking with trying to continue typing with one hand and putting the letters back in place with the other. Playing that way actually made it much more fun, and I think that may have been intentional?

Interesting game! I love the idea.  Fits the theme very well. It was cool, well done :)

Funny concept, wish it had some audio. I wished there was more gameplay or mechanics, because the keys flying away actually works against the gameplay experience, imo. After awhile I found it frustrating to just type. Overall nice work though!

the party is displeased with the lack of sound това́рищ

The idea is fun, and the overall presentation is great. Some more variation and audio would be nice, but what you have is very well done. Great work :)

One of the more interesting ideas I've played so far. Liked the game, though I think more variety or gameplay might have made it better, good job overall.

Maybe different things to type would be cool. Great game, though!

Great Presentation!

Needs better gameplay though.

Great presentation and a fun underlying concept. I could use some variety though -- I'm thinking you could expand on it by making it so that when you put a key back, you could put it in the wrong spot (changing up your key binding unintentionally). Then the player has to make the tough decision of whether or not to commit the new keybinding to memory or roll with the mistake.

Developer

Haha thanks! Being able to place the keys in the wrong spot was on the list, but right now we made the "snap to slot" component pretty lenient to minimize frustration

A fellow typing game, this is the only one I found other than mine. I love the theme/aesthetic, and the floating keys gimmick! Great work!

"A Marxist typing game where the keys rebel against the tyranny of your bourgeois fingers" is honestly one of the funniest descriptions I've ever read. Nice concept and fun to play!

Rebellious little keys!

Simple yet great idea! Love the concept!
