I like the puzzle and style of the green wizard!
Loved the take on the theme and the puzzle design is on point with this one
Nice style and vibe. Got a little confused about what the potions did as they initially look the same. Great overall!
Nice game! Platforming was smooth, puzzles were solid with good progression. I tried to solve a lot of the puzzles by following my interpretation of the rule "Last button used", for example firing an arrow and pressing left so that button would go instead, but found that it would still get rid of the arrow. Or pressing left after a jump, but the jump would still disappear. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but I think it's be more interesting if that was possible!
Also great ending! I use game maker too so it made me panic for a sec haha
I just rated your great game! Thank you very much for watching the stream yesterday!
I would appreciate it if you could check out my game too!
it's a bit buggy with the arrows but works well enough, it has a really cute animation and the level design is great, this an losing buttons game done good.
Puzzle design was pretty good.
I really enjoyed how the simple mechanic of leaving a verb behind opened up so many different possibilities. Great work with the level design and progression, it explored the concept in some really clever ways and left me wanting more. And that ending!
Your stream was very fun. and so is your game!
The idea of taking controls away is very common, but this is by far my favourite way to do this. I really liked that you left in all of the strategy and decision making to the player, while keeping the out of control theme. The game idea itself is really great and could easily be span out into something bigger.
My main criticism with the game is a few polish/feedback things that are hard to get right in only 48 hours. The players movement feels a bit sluggish and the spike hitboxes are pretty hard to navigate, you have to get it just right to land between them. The fact that you can fire three arrows at a time is not obvious either and prevented me from solving a few puzzles (I had to go back to them later). Maybe I missed this because the arrows hit the floor when you're aiming at a lower platform quite easily.
Overall this is a really fantastic submission though, great job!
Pretty fun puzzle-platformer. Really gotta think about how to pick up which potion-thingies to keep the keys you really need... positioning~ Cool stuff. Perhaps it could help to reduce the text by making the level design imply how things work a bit more at the start? Probably worth playing around with, anyhow.
Hey this is a really cool game!! Needs more reviews! It's a really cool concept, from all the games i saw with this take on the theme this is the most original. I got stuck on lvl 7 or something. Nicely done!
Love this, don't usually enjoy platformers but losing access to control keys is implemented really well here striking the perfect balance between fun and torture when you lose the wrong controls.
Loved this game! It has nice puzzle elements that feel truly rewarding when solving them. Fits the theme perfectly, and oh bot, things got absolutely out of control when crossing that last door! Haha, really nice game, well done!
Ran into a couple of bugs while playing, I think.
I actually had a lot of fun with this one. Overall polish isn't there and it's rough around the edges but I honestly think this is a diamond in the rough. The puzzle aspects were really satisfying to solve once I got the hang of it- that last room I think I cheesed a bit, and there are places where you can get by without what I saw as the "intended" solution, but foundation is there. I hope you continue to polish this one up once the jam ends.
That ending tho, looks like that crash intentional?? If so that's an awesome almost-inside-joke. 10/10 ending. Gamemaker ftw.
Hey thanks for the feedback-- yes the crash is intentional at the end, haha.
