How does your game fit the theme?
It's a puzzle game, where the puzzle designer has no control, the user creates the solution. At the same time, the user randomly glitches the game as they cheat their way through. Glitches also grow uncontrollably, eating the level

This is a really cool game! I love the art style and while the controls got really whacky really quickly, I just about figured it out... The game is pretty intense for a game jam gam, but really great work!
Hey thanks a lot for playing!! I'm glad you liked it. Yes the control where a bit wacky by design, but it ended up being not too cool for some people. The idea behind it was that the cheatmaster didn't reall added any buttons, so in order to use it you should've had to share the controls. It's a cool idea, in my head haha. Thank you for playing and the feedback!
That's a really clever and original idea, and the execution is just over the top! I mean, there are bugs, like some objects getting in wrong state or switching it for no reason, or being able to run through closing door / staying in it after it closes, but I can't really tell if that's a problem with a game itself, or with my cheating extension... ;) I really like what you can do with the objects' connections and that there's as many ways to solve each level, as the player can come up with, thanks to the nature of the game. Good stuff!
Hey thanks a loot for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it. The random events happening where part of the cheatmaster side effects, I just did a poor job explaining it, (or maybe it's just a bad mechanic ). There are some collision bugs at some specific places due to rushed level creation, maybe you experienced that too. It needs tons of polishing! haha. Thank you for playing!
Love the presentation, from the physical Game Boy to the hand-written notes to the Misingno-style glitches. Only 90s kids will understand ;-)
It took me a while to get my head around the gameplay, but even when I did, it was a bit fiddly and repetitive. I was impressed by how much you packed in though. Sharper level design (i.e. two gates versus five in single level) might have helped the idea shine through.
Really enjoyable. And a surprisingly polished and consistent aesthetic. Well done!
I gave up on the fourth level or so because I died and respawned at the beginning. Feels harsh but also true to games of the era, haha
Thanks for playing!! Yes indeed haha, not many checkpoints back then. I'm glad you liked it! :D
Gliched and won.
GG!
Love how committed you are to making it look like an old Gameboy game. I found the idea and game very enjoyable. It is sometimes a little hard to control where to place and item, but besides that well done :)
Hey thanks for the words!! Yes I worked really hard on the looks, I'm glad that you like how it looks :D It took a lot of time to draw all of that and make the camera rendering to that texture look good behind the frame
Very cool-- having all the puzzle elements available to you can be a bit overwhelming though. I gave up on level 5, is there much more after that?
NICE! Not really, it ends in lvl 6, so you were really close!. Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it! :D
Fantastic work, even though the arts and sounds are not original, it was a great implementation! And I loved the main mechanics! The game is really fun!
Thanks for playing!! I made like 90% of the art but since there was no option that said "I made most of the art" I went with the honest option xD.. Music is borrowed 100%, I've no idea how to make music.
Most original game I've seen yet!
Thank you for playing!! I hope you can keep playing it a bit more! There's like 6 levels haha
This game makes me go YES! Great presentation!
Hey YES sounds good! :D .. I'm glad you liked it! I worked really hard on it! Thank you for playing!
It was a pretty cool concept. I got a bit stuck though when I opened the gate in the first part after getting the cheat device but I still couldn't walk though it
Hey thanks for playing!! That's weird, did you try reloading the level? I'm sorry that happened to you! Haven´t seen that bug yet.. I'll take a look into it
I tried again and it worked perfectly, not sure what caused that one then!
Nice!! Sorry for the bug, I've no idea what could've been xD. I hope it's not happening to many people. Thanks for the feedback!
Great job! Loved the idea and the presentataion!
Thanks for palying!! I'm glad you liked it! :D
Very good presentation and use of the theme.
Thanks a lot for playing! I worked really hard on the presentation, I'm glad you liked it!
I liked the concept and the presentation was great!
Hey thanks for playing!! I'm lad you liked the presentation, I was really happy with it too!
The idea is great! Would like a lot bigger screen for the "actual" game.
Hi! Thanks for playing! I got that feedback from another player too, I only playtested on my PC and it seem good, I should've tested in other devices too haha. Thanks for the feedback! :D
The aesthetic and visuals are quite nice, good work :D
Thanks a lot for playing my game! I'm glad you liked it! :D
I don't know what to do when the cheatmaster is plugged in? I can place a gate, link it to a switch, and then nothing happens? I'm stuck in the starting area.
Hey, connection goes in a single direction, connect the switch to the gate and then flip the switch with space. That should open the gate. You can connect the gate to another element and make a chain. Did you connect it that way and nothing happened?
Hey that was a fun puzzle game!
I like the gameboy presentation, and the scribbled notes over the instructions.
Took me back to the 90s when I had hand drawn maps of my games with notes written all around!
Thanks for this comment! That's exactly what I was trying yo achieve, so knowing that someone else felt like that is great! :D , that and the old-school game's sense of being lost and don't really knowing what to do next. Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
I loved the missingno. esque glitching in this game.
Puzzles were fun and it was a great concept! I think I appreciate that struggling with the controls with the cheating device are the basis for the puzzles but sometimes I think maybe I felt like I was struggling a little too much.
But that's the only think I could say. Overall this is such a fun concept.
Hey thanks for playing! The controls were part of the out of control interpretation, maybe it's too out of control. The idea was to add a bit of extta difficulty to cheating. I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the feeback!
The controls felt off after inserting the CheatMaster. I think moving the character and the target at the same time was just sort of confusing. Having some way of toggling the cheat master controls on and off would have been preferable. It's an interesting concept though, and the visuals look cohesive and polished.
