Its literally out of your control when you see a rock, lol. I'd say that its harder to shoot zombies in front when the car is moving vertically due to having less screen space.
You can work on this idea, but you need more care, the enemies are almost the same color as the scenery, difficult to see them, there is not much to do when a creature is approaching, if I shoot, I can die in the explosion, but if I don't shoot, I hit the enemy. But great work!
Fun idea, I had a similar idea at first too. The UI seems a little glitchy but it is still fun to play! The rock is frustrating to run into. Good luck!
Cool idea for a top-down on rails shooter. It just gets a bit frustrating sometimes when there's a guaranteed loss condition (e.g. collides with rock)
Nice game! I really enjoyed the art and gameplay. Well done!
The pixel art could be improved but it doesn't look bad. The idea is very good but the game will be much better if the car doesn't collide with a rock at a random point. The game has potential but the issues limit it.
I like the idea but I wish hitting a rock would just stop the vehicle, rather than blowing it up.
Cool idea! Reminds me of missile command in how your shots have to given some lead and have a limited radius
Nice idea, but it needs a little something more and it is a little too difficult to kill the zombies
Hey neat game, It's a bit too hard to play and needs a bit of polishing but I think you're into something here. A zombie shooter where the driver drives by itself might be fun! Well done!
So close to being a really fun game. It needs a lot of polishing, but the idea is there!
Fits the theme, but the rocket shooting doesn't feel good and sometimes the car will just crash even after destroying the obstacle in the way. Otherwise not bad.
It fits the theme perfectly, but the aiming feels a bit inconsistent. Overall, great job!
Not a bad idea, fits the theme well (although it is annoying that it is in most part luck) - overall a good interpretation, nice job for 48 hours. Best of luck!
Totally on theme, tho the rocket shooting feels terrible. It doesnt account for the car's momentum so if you get a zombie in front of you you're dead either way.
Ya, XD, that's what I was thinking. I wanted to make a game that felt like you didn't have control of the outcome, but the team said no, that's stupid XD (my initial idea was basically a random number generator that had to guess what another random number generator picks XD, they sadly didn't see the beauty of the idea). The biggest question I had is, how playable do I want this game, should I go off the rails and make the entire game out of control XD
Besides the fact that I have no control over my death, nice game! Here's mine https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 feel free to leave a rating :)
but that means it fits with the theme perfectly, XD. It's out of your control. (It's not completely out of your control tbh, but it pretty much is.)
I agree that it ties to the theme, it just feels frustrating when I lose because I couldn't do anything about it
I think if the art was more good, it would have the feel better. Idea was perfect to the theme.
Great job :D
Game has a lot of potential although the fact i can't influence the car even a little bit is upsetting because i can die almost instantly. Everything else is perfect great job
I really enjoy messing around with the rocket launcher trying to escape the deadly hazards. really great job ArithMetic.
We put no we used pre-existing audio because we planed on uploading a song that we had, however we didn't end up having the time to do so.
