Very cool game, I like that the zombies have a mind of their own. Overall everything was really well executed.
Really interesting take on the zombie apocalypse where you control the zombies and not the survivor (probably done elsewhere, but not common). I enjoy the take on the fact that the zombie have a sort of mind of their own, especially when there are prays around. You did a great job with the AI with herd control and switching behaviour.
Overall good job !
Its so delighting to make my zombie army! The zombie AI is neat! The game felt easy but I liked it easy. The Molotov guy killed half of my army though but managed to recover from my loses
Had a lot of fun playing this. Loved how you could lose control of a few zombies when they go near a human and then you could split your army in to two and hunt down more then regroup! Great idea and lots of fun.
Definitely a fun one, I wasn't really getting how the zombies were out of control at first, but I laughed the first time I thought I only had 3 zombies left, and then 2, I was really sweating and then the other half of my army came back with like 12 zombies doing a cavalry charge.
I had a blast! Thanks for making this.
At first I didn't see the "out of control" part of this game, but in the last level, it was so "out of control" in a fun way :)
I think it could be better not to use path finding for navigation. But after all, I'ts really fun. Well done :)
Cool mechanic and very solid execution, I liked the variation in zombies and humans!
The zombie movement is perfect, they follow your point but not to 100% accuracy which allows you to do flank attacks if you are good enough. I would like this to be more flowing from level to level. so you can watch the horde of zombies get larger and larger. Maybe zooming out the camera a little as you have a massive horde under your control. Either way, please continue this.
Good aesthetic for the apocalypse, some nice variation in enemy types, and good user-friendliness with the minimap. Some more hand-crafting with the levels could lead to more interesting mini-battles, increasing the need for strategy planning. Overall a short and fun game.
Had a lot of fun with this, the big tanky guys gave me some troubles but I got them in the end. I liked that you had different humans that had different effects as zombies too :D gave it some nice and fun depth.
Liked the game and the concept. The text can kind of be hard to see against the backgeround so adding a bit of contrast there might be good. The game played quite well. Graphics were good too. Overall a good entry, well done.
This a fun game. This was a great example of the swarm idea that seems to have come from this game jam. I like how your horde starts out small but gets larger and larger as you go on. I enjoyed playing it. Great job!
Thanks a lot! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome idea and take on the theme! Really enjoyable to play as well, I quite like the varied human / zombie transformations makes for an interesting dynamic, honestly I could see a pretty cool mobile game coming from this!
I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for the feedback! I didn’t really think about making it a mobile game but I guess it would work well since you only need one button.
Damn that was super cool! Having multiple types of human transforming into different types of zombies was a really nice idea and the music was really nice to listen to. The sound effect for the zombies was on point. If I could change something it would probably be by adding a nicer effect when you hurt a human (like a hit animation or a bit more particles) to make it more noticeable. Otherwise great game!
Super cool, nice idea and execution!
I went through the whole game and I loved it. It's a very cool idea to control a crowd of zombies, you can make it even better! For example, add points for each killed person and buy different upgrades for the crowd of zombies. Hopefully you will continue to work on the game after jam.
I’m glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the feedback and ideas! I’ll definitely use some of them if I continue development of the game!
I couldn't download the game through the Itch app. It looks like you forgot to mark is as being for Windows.
I believe I did set it up for windows. You have to have a windows playable version to enter the game jam anyway right? The issue may be that it doesn't have a browser version but I didn't think that would affect it. Is there anyway to check if I've marked it for windows or not?
On the "edit game" page, your file has checkboxes for platforms. You forgot to check the one with the Windows logo. It makes a difference for people using the Itch app.
This game was awesome, very well put together, and very polished! Controlling the zombies didn't seem very difficult, felt good to move around.
Really fun. Cool concept and realistic execution with them slowly becoming harder to control as the hoard got bigger. I'm sure with some juice and smoothness added to the hitboxes etc it could be quite popular
