How does your game fit the theme?
Time is out of your control, a timer will count down that will flip the script on you. It's random and repeats after every finish. Get to the end, and watch out for the spikes when they switch platforms - they're an instant kill. MAC USERS - IF YOU CANNOT OPEN/DOWNLOAD THE FILE DO IT THROUGH THE ITCH APP

Checkpoints would be nice, but great idea. Minor game feel note: gravity in the downward direction feels really heavy, you go up fine, but coming down you slam into the ground.

Yeah, we realized we made the level definitely a little hard - checkpoints would’ve been a big improvement. Thank you for the note on the movement, it’s a little different depending on if you hold jump or not, but I agree with you that it’s a bit fast. Thanks!

Interesting concept! I would make the enemies themselves do damage upon collision because I would just run through/past them before they could shoot. The music shift is cool when things start changing!

Thank you! We were debating adding that - but knew the level was pretty hard and didn’t want to discourage players too much. Adding this, plus making the spikes do less damage would’ve probably been a better combination.

This game is pretty cool! I liked the simple art style, the game itself is a bit too hard for me but i still enjoyed it! please keep working on it, i think that's a cool project! rated! Please check out my game too :D

The visuals and atmosphere are great! The glow makes the pixel art of the enemies and butterflies look really good! Very cool and unique take on the theme, congrats! :)

I feel we should have some extra information. Otherwise, we're always in "leap of faith" mode. Presentation is solid and fits the theme.

Thank you so much - we realized afterwards that some of the level design in the beginning might be urging the player to be doing the wrong thing, and the introduction of the main mechanic can be a little confusing if you don’t know anything about the game. All a learning experience, and I hope you had fun with our game.

Game was too hard for the first level, and I didn't quite know what to do. I instantly died even thoe I had 3 hearts left.

Thank you - we weren't sure about the difficulty of the level. You simply play to get to the end - spikes are an instant kill and switch platforms every time the timer runs out. Enemies will only deal one heart of damage when they shoot you.
