How does your game fit the theme?
In our game taking damage gives rage. Maxing out rage makes you lose control of your saxophone in favor of a melee frenzy which will in turn make you lose access to a musical note for a short period of time.

I'm a sucker for games with Endless modes, so this is already a big win for me!
The notepad-spell mechanic is so fresh and interesting! You know I tried to make a similar design with my submission, but yours is much more concrete and functional. Using the numpad in specific is a great catch because it's far from the conventional arrow-keys-or-WASD controls we're already used to and forces the player to rethink and look at what he/she is pressing, further supporting the jam's theme.
Understanding how to play a song correctly takes more time than I think it should (you're supposed to read the notes left to right, not top to bottom like the numbers suggest), but the end result is satisfiying.
Using spells in the middle of the heat, however, is pretty confusing, which for me is a great point considering this makes you feel more out of control. Learning how to cast Fireballs consistently so you don't need to focus on that during battle feels like learning how to do a combo in a fighting game so you don't miss it in an actual match, and I loved how the same feeling could be applied to a totally different game.
For the downsides, I don't really think losing notes were necessary, specially because most songs use a wide array of notes and are rendered useless without one of them. You could either make it so songs are harder to play (by hiding their note sheets for some time and requiring players to play from memory, for instance) or make simpler, infallible combat songs that can be used anytime, like a 2-note melee attack song.
For a more technical critique, I also didn't like how the player is locked into LookAt(nearestEnemy) at all times as long as there's one alive. Sometimes the enemy is be all the way on the other side of the level, and the strafing motion used when looking at it gets amplified when farther away, giving it a "dragging" feel when walking towards certain directions (which is a direct effect of the LookAt approach). It'd be pretty simple to just limit this feature to enemies within a certain Vector3.distance range from the player :)
In presentation terms, the game's just plain and simple adorable. Great use of colors and contrast. Animations, particles and effects were so abundant that there was really no need to make actual, rigged animations on models.
This was awesome fun, great concept, looked amazing and even had a Zelda reference. What more can a man want?
Really fun and intuitive. Beautiful graphics and smooth gameplay.

Nice idea! I would love to play it more, but i have no access to a pc with numpad. I only played it with my notebook keyboard, and its a bit of a pain. But great execution. I would love if you could learn more spells if you hear musics in the environment
Extremely charming game! The art is both pretty and clear, the theming is super interesting and the musical approach was great!
Had a ton of fun playing this through to the end, the last 3 levels got pretty tough but it was an enjoyable toughness! Excellent work!
I love music mechanics in games! Great control scheme, almost seems like spell casting :3
This game pogged me out of my gourd
Really like the mood and atmosphere you have going on, and the idea of casting magic through music and losing notes temporarily makes for a very interesting gameplay loop, the base movement could use some work though, the player feels a bit sluggish and sort of sticks to objects when they're next to them, though I think that's due to the camera angle being somewhat confusing on which direction input will move you. Overall love the concept, and it's a great entry!
Very fun and creative game! Reminds me a lot of ocarina of time, in a good way!
Not the easiest of the games but man, the mood is quite perfect in this game. The song idea is really cool, it could use some polish on the gameplay but the visuals are on top !
Also, loved that spinning rage ^^
Great Game, Love everything about it. Great feedback through sound and ui. Did you use post processing to get that pixel pattern or is that an overlay texture?
Cool
Really cool game, honestly the best jam game that I've seen so far. I love the music based combat, it reminds me of the dnd bard class.
One point of improvement could be to decrease the lighting attack range, because I could abuse it to kill offscreen enemies.
And maybe increase the wind spell duration
Well made game nonetheless.
I love this game, the music aspect of the game is so well made.
The music is definitely the highlight of this game. I loved the mechanic of having to play the music notes in a certain order to be able to shoot or heal. However I felt that it could be a little too hard having to look at the music sheets to see if I'm playing the correct note and have to see if I'm avoiding enemies. Still, this is a really good game. Nice job :)
Omg, I love this game. The music is awesome. Seeing notes and moving around is difficult, especially since the enemies keep shooting at you. Awesome Art as well!
The idea is very interesting, but having to use the number keys to cast spells had me looking away from the screen. Using another control scheme (and explaining it to the user) can greatly improve the gameplay.
Really cool idea!
The visual and the gameplay melds together in a satisfying way. It got a strong theme and the game does a good job of sticking to it.
I liked how the songs let you develop your own playstyle with their variety and discovering new songs is very exciting.
The only negative feedback I can give is that it feels a bit jarring when after killing an enemy the controlls shifted suddenly as the character went after another target.
I liked it ! The execution is good, a bit hard to coordinate for me in isometric but I appreciated the idea. Also the music matching the spells made me smile, its a nice addition ^^
