Awesome and fun idea! Loved the voiceover :D

PS: I will be tweeting about this game, and some other games I will play from the jam: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1283445261952589830

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the voiceover!

And thanks for tweeting about it! If I was using Twitter I would follow and retweet you, but you have my appreciation nonetheless!

No problem at all! I played about 15 games so far, and this one is my favorite!

Developer

That's so great to hear!

Submitted(+1)

Very satisfying turning that key and hitting the big red button, great work!

Developer

Excellent! That's what I like to hear! Thanks for playing! I'm glad you appreciate that detail.

Great voice acting, and a solid concept! It only requires one button (so basically one touch) I can imagine this as a mobile game with a little more juice!

Developer

I'm glad to hear that! I wish I had time to make it for mobile before the deadline!

I really enjoyed this game a lot. I love games that include bureaucracy as a major theme, and I also love space, so this game was basically a home run for me. Super cool and creative (and pretty funny as well)!

Developer

Wow, thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Wow that voice acting! Great :D

Developer

Great to hear! My friend Corbin did a great job with the Houston voice! He also recorded a Captain voice but I didn't have enough time left to implement it, so I had to keep my original placeholder voice.

Fits perfectly. Congrats on finishing :)

This is such a fun and stressful game, I love the idea and that the ship is called Sitting Duck

I'm glad you appreciate it! Thanks for playing and commenting!

Hey there Houston, permission to leave a comment?

Developer(+1)

Goose Ladder Games, this is Houston, you are a go to comment, over. ;) Thanks for playing!

Attention crew, we're about to leave a comment. Brace for impact. This was one of the funniest games we played in the jam! Loved it!

Developer(+1)

That makes my day! Thank you!

This game is very challenging and infuriating! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Good concept, but it can be improved upon.

Developer

Thanks!

Yes, definitely, I agree. Do you have a specific recommendation for what I could have done better?

Submitted(+1)

This is so infuriating, but by design haha, it's challenging imposing these additional commands when I just want to move and OH GOD THERE'S AN ASTEROID THERE JUST LET ME MOOOOVE! Haha, great job! :)

Developer

Brings a smile to my face! ;) haha! Thanks so much for playing and commenting!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool and original idea! :D The game is challenging but quit addictive

Developer

I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

It's a really good concept. I like the idea of space bureaucracy. Also the graphics are impressive.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I really love the concept of this game. Could never avoid the asteroids haha.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting mechanic but them asteroids didn't like me very much! haha

Developer

haha, nice! Thanks for playing!

I loved the concept! Well Done!

Developer

Thank you!

This is a really nice concept I definitely felt out of control when I was told not to perform a maneuver. Although I'd usually just do it anyway. I've got to stay alive after all. Really great game, good job!

Developer

Thanks so much!

This is so cool and unique! The theme being applied here is very interesting, and I love the pun of calling the player “Sitting Duck”! Overall very well done!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I never had time to replace my placeholder dialogs where I actually referred to the ship as "s'plorer" before deciding on "sitting duck."

Submitted(+1)

I actually liked this, it did make me feel like the captain of a ship, especially when I disobeyed houston and just went full throttle.

Developer

haha, excellent! I was hoping people would realize they could simply do what they wanted, at least 2 times before losing.

Submitted(+1)

I'm starting to get the feeling that these guys in Houston don't want us to come home...

This is a nice concept! The voice lines make the game for me so it would have been nice to add a few more variations.

Developer(+1)

haha, yup!

Thanks so much! Yes, I agree, the voice acting is the comedy element that is the purpose of playing. We recorded a ton of variations but had to prioritize other tasks down to the last minute. I'm sad I couldn't get to all of it.

Funny concept. It really feels like you're "Out of Control", every move is a chore, but still it's quite amusing. Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!
