Cards are fun!
I didn't totally get how the combine works, or why suddenly I can only draw one card each round, but it was fun, thanks.
Yeah the only one card per round is a bug :(
Card Combining:
If the lines of two cards have identical effects, then they will be added together (aka. Damage 2 & Damage 4)
Otherwise the second cards line will overwrite the first card
I saw this one in the stream and had to try it. One of my favorites of this jam :)
Please make an updated version of this, that adresses the bugs. I'm definitely going to revisit this in a couple of weeks.

GameJam-symptoms aside, that is actually a fun little game! Unfortunately i also keep getting that "This is text" bug.

I am rather new to itch io, i just made a collection of games to check out after the voting, and added your game to it, that should do the trick
When u combine cards click the COMBINE button before going to the next turn. (We definitely should have made that more clear)
Unfortunately after drawing a few times, I only received cards with the sentence "This is text" all over them and wasn't able to combine or use them anymore and had to restart the game. Nice idea and good work! Would like to play it again when this is fixed
Sadly, that's a frequent bug, that we will try and fix in the post-jam version, if there ever will be one. Thank you for the nice words tho!

Cool game! I liked the minimalist feel of the art. I also didn't realize there was a limit on drawing, which turned out to be an unfortunate mistake.
Making a card game's something I haven't seen before in these jams (at least the games I've happened to play), pretty fun! Good job!
Fun game! Did run into what I think is a bug though were I got what I think is placeholder text. (image below)

Cool idea, the first card game I've played in this jam, I thought I have unlimited card so I burned all my deck on level 2 XD
When I drew a lot of cards, the text immediate changed to "Insert text here". Also I was confused about combinations (I suggest don't let the players combine randomly, give them some basic formula and let them work from there). Still that was a cool concept for a card game (with a dash of Dragon Quest RPG xD)
Yea, I found that bug :(...
I've gotten a bunch of feedback of things to make better. So I will probably make a "final" version after the jam that fixes stuff... I'll still leave the jam version up for posterity ;)...
The combining rules are pretty simple, when you combine cards, each line is compared and text that is the same on each line is added together, if it's different then one overrides the other =)...

I'd like to have a combine mechanics in a roguelite deck builder where you replace your cards either permanently or depending on the rules for replacement/merging for the card mechanics.
Downside - got stuck on the second level with no cards.
So at the beginning of every combat your deck resets the combinations, so you can recombine the cards you've got in different ways... Though it looks like that bug is preventing people from seeing that :(...
We were going for a roguelike deck builder concept, but building the deckbuilder part took so much time, so we could only do a small part of the roguelike part >_<...
I really like the idea behind this game! It's a cool spin on single-player digital card games like Slay the Spire.
