Very original game idea and story :D. I can totally see this as a party couch game. It could also have a game mode where you have more players in the form of 4 v 1 ( 4 cables vs one big extension chord). Nice game guys!!!

Developer

Thx! And good idea, we've had in our heads couple of other game modes, but no time :D :-)

Great game! Pretty original and unique idea, while still being a really really well-designed experience!

You did an awesome job, overall good game!

Developer

Thanks a lot <3

Great execution! Art style looks really good. Wish i had a friend to play with.

Developer

Oh, that sounds so sad! Hope that maybe other time some friend will come and play the Cables with you ;-)

And thx! :-)

Really great job! It's actually a simple concept, although still very original, wrapped in a really great story and theme! It's quite well balanced overall and the cord physics and movement behaviour are well adjusted.

Awesome work!

Developer

Yes! Simple idea but it's actually quite fun :D Story came itself when we decided that we'll be going with the occult theme :-)

Thanks for your kind words <3

love the voice overs and the game is fun, the only thing I would look into is making the tutorial less of a massive text block other than that its very well executed

Developer

Tutorials are always pain for us because the lack of time :-) And you're obviously right :-)

Thx for the feedback <3

This is so well executed!! You get a lot of fun out of a pretty straightforward control scheme and with an awesome art style on top of everything!

The backstory and gameplay is 10/10. The narration is dope as well, but why did you choose Shub-Niggurath as the villain against perfect toast?

Developer

Thanks a lot <3

We don't know, Shub-Niggurath chose us ;-) :D

Its a really nice idea, but i feel like the tactics you can use against your opponent are exhausted really fast. Still really cool and i can imagine the gamemakers behind that game :D

Developer

But you never know what can hapenned to your cord or where you can you get stucked with the items ;-) :D

And thanks :D And actually only one of us is longhaired bearded dude :D

I actually imagined more like people who are somewhat slim and do judo. Dont ask me why.

This is a 5/5 game, wow. So much work went into this, super impressive, awesome job!

Developer

Thanks a lot, mister! <3

Nice job guys you people made a very fun little game, Sound Design was also good. :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot <3 This is actually the first time when we did some voiceover :-)

Submitted(+1)

This is the type of game me and my brother would play when we were kids. The art is beautiful, and it's amazing that you were able to make this in 48 hours. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Nostalgic feelings from old Atari games? :)

Thanks a lot for you kind words <3

Interesting ideas and Good music

Developer

Thank you! :)

It's nice to see a good multiplayer in the jam. It's functional and enjoyable to play. I wish there was more variety in game modes or in the environment but for a 48-hour game it was pretty darn good. Nice work!

Developer

Yeah, we wish too but... 48 hours is 48 hours :D Even less for us because... life :-)

Thanks a lot for the feedback :-)

This game was fun, I liked the concept, the art, and the game play. You guys really nailed the movement.

I love it! Super fun, great humor!

I had my partner to play it and we had a lot of fun!

Love the art, love the intro!

Submitted(+1)

As said partner, I second this! had a lot of fun chasing/escaping my other half :)

Also props for the Lovecraftian nudge. ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

Developer

Wow, thank you both :-)

When we decided to go with the occult theme, the Cthulhu Mythos was the only right way ;-) :D
