I had fun swinging around my block wildy and destroying everything :D
Bonk! Bonk! BASH! How satisfying!
The game seems to want breaking your chain to be a bad thing, but I found that if I kept space held the entire time it didn't make much difference. I don't care about that though, I had fun! The sounds are so good.
Well, it's hard to say something here. A very well-made game without unnecessary garbage inside. Interesting idea and game. Good work, keep it up!
That was fun! I had a genuine laugh the first time I hit some blocks, the reaction to things getting hit was perfect. I didn't really see much reason to slow down my block, though, so I kept my foot on the gas the entire way.
Yep, balancing the physics was a challenge and this ended up as the standard behaviour. Glad you enjoyed the "feel", and thanks for playing!
Hitting the blocks was satisfying and the orange ones helped keep me on my toes. I did feel the game was maybe a bit claustrophobic since I didn't want to get too close to any edge on the off chance a block would spawn right there and kill me.
Indeed a zooming-out-over-time (or just a more zoomed out version) could have let the chain spin larger, and given the player more space. Thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback!
Really really loved your game by the way. I'll try and raise my game quality to match it!
Enjoyable! I ended around 20k score cause I was just having a good time playing. It was satisfying to hit the blue blocks and even more so when you got to smack a yellow one!
Could have used some more art but you know, 48 jam and all so I get that.
Well done.
There is no excuse for an artless game ๐I would have put some lighting effects, a little bit of 3D and particles given more time!
It is really satisfying to push those blocks away, really fun game
Thank you! I've now spent more time smashing the blocks than making the game...
The score will not be reset when failed and I got 18000+. I think this is a perfect design.
It is a really casual game!
Hi franchovy!
Man it feels good to absolutely slap those blocks around. Once you get the red block spinning you feel like an unstoppable powerhouse. I particularly like that the yellow blocks change up the dynamic a bit. You have to stay aware of your surroundings!
I think the music and sound effects sound nice! It would be cool if the music sped up along with the red block. Like a really slow track to start off with and once you gain momentum you are at a rave.
Totally cool game! Great job with such a simple concept! Good luck!

Hey IndieDream, it was great to meet you! And I promise, once I have a Windows I will be trying your game as well.. Or shall we just collab' next jam? ๐
The yellow blocks were a move I learned from GMTK for sure, hahah. They just had to have that buildup behaviour too, credits to @Sam.
I would have loved more dynamic music, and just a bigger frenzy once things get going. Like a slow zoom-out, and faster blocks!
Cheers buddy, talk again sometime!
Hi Franchovy!
Love the enthusiasm, and glad you still plan to check out our game! I learned that I should provide WebGL builds for these things... Well, we are all here to learn.
Love the offer, but I think my team and I probably won't be doing jams for a while as we try to bring our game into commercial space. If you ever have any questions or need some quick playtesting feedback from a fellow dev during your next jam, feel free to ask me! I will be extra critical!
Best of luck, friend!

Hi Franchovy!
Just wanted to let you know that there is a WebGL version now available for our game on it's Itch.io page: https://theindiedream.itch.io/sorcerervsswordsman
Hope you enjoy!

It's definitely fun and the core mechanic is really cool to play around with. It's also fairly easy to understand what you have to do, overall not a bad entry!
Thank you! I guess if one likes either your or my game, the skills are maybe transferrable? ๐
Love the sound design! And it was really fun to play. Got 15333 points before I got side-swiped by an orange square. Great idea to include those to keep the player from mindlessly smacking the blues away!
Thanks for playing! The orange squares are for sure my favourite part of the game. Gotta get that "BLEEP-BLEEP"!
This is really fun, I really like how everything is presented really clearly but with really simple art design. As everyone has mentioned so far, the sound design is great too! Also nice to see some love for Haxe
Thank you Jack! I'm glad you enjoyed the game ๐พ
Really like the mechanics, they feel unique and fun to play around with! Though it didn't really seem like the game got harder over time. The minimalist presentation also works pretty well, especially the sound design.
Thanks Gusing for playing the game! I wish I could have put more time into the progression system. Faster blocks, a bigger arena, the possibilities were endless but the time wasn't! ๐
It's only because @borsim had my back that there is a score system at all!
Fun and responsive, props for making the music too!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ๐
