Really good game and idea, but may be will be better if you add some tutorial texts inside your game, like ASWD etc. :)

I liked the concept and found it really fun, congratulations!

Really interesting mechanics and really fun, the rope gets wonky sometimes but that also happened to us so I understand the pain that is to code good rope physics.

I honestly think this could make an interesting bigger game

Great game, interesting mechanics. I can imagine the chaos when it's played by 2 players. The music made it feel like an English spy movie and I like that.

The rope can get glitchy and clip into the walls sometimes.

Good job on the game.

Great concept, love the art style and humor in the game. The freaking alarm is scary!

Congrats on submitting!

This was a lot of fun to play! Great concept and I could see this being a full game. Sometimes the controls required a high degree of precision, but arguably that fits the heist genre pretty well. Very impressive!

This was a great idea; I love that it works well both as a 2 person game. Also, the music! Made me feel like I was in the Pink Panther.

I don't have anyone to play with, but it was still fun! However, walking with the guy who goes down to get the diamond is glitchy at times.

This was really fun! I'm a master thief now! :D

Also very cool rope and nice suspenseful music.

I enjoyed playing the levels and discovering new mechanics and tricks in each one :) Good job

i realy liked the concept, i havent seen a similar game yet, the controlls felt a bit fiddly, but i think that was because i played it alone, well done

Hello! We think your idea for this theme is a good one! We played it together, so we think we got the intended experience! For improvements we'd like to suggest added feedback on when you hook/unhook the rope, there were also some issues with getting stuck on the floor. All around fun game!

Good concept, nice execution.

My only complaint is that you have to pick up the diamond instead of just picking it up on collision.
Also that you have to pick it up with the same button, that u use to let go of the rope.
I was stuck for 1-2 minute on one of the levels because of this.

Developer(+1)

yeah sorry about that

both the diamond and the end of the rope are just objects  you can interact with, using the same interact functionality
the game was originally have more mechanics involving interacting with objects, if I knew I'd have to cut them I would've dedicated the button to hooking/unhooking and made the diamond auto pick up

I do like the ambiance of the game. My only gripe is the unhook/grab diamond button: I'm not sure if it's really required. Just grabbing the diamond without having to press a button would feel a lot smoother, and would have the added benefit of not accidently unhooking from the rope.

The unhooking is a great idea, but only really sees use in the later levels. It's easy enough in the beginning to just trip the alarm and get back to the top. I would suggest weaving in the mechanic somewhere early on - so that you can get used to the small platformer segments.

I quite enjoyed the game. Good work!

Really fun little game ! :D
I'm quite amazed at the rope physics

I loved the whole atmosphere and the new fun idea. Could not stop playing, but I need to get to work... Or maybe I should quit my job and become a diamond thief instead...?

This game was a lot of fun! I really liked the concept and the mood was on point with the heist sound vibes. When I was brainstorming I had some rope ideas but scratched them because I didn't think I'd have time to do a cool rope, but you did it! Awesome rope physics! Great work.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it

The rope physics actually turned out to be the easier thing to make in the game. It's basically a bunch of copy pasted rope segments with physics joint connecting each of them together, and when the roof player pulls it back, it moves the first rope's joint to the right, with a big invisible object underneath to  make it actually move up

My brother and I had a lot of fun with this game!  The concept is entertaining, and the levels all seemed well designed to encourage teamwork.  The rope physics felt pretty clunky, but the clunkiness was pretty charming and we had a lot of fun swinging it around in weird ways.  The main issue we discovered is that the alarm time is generous enough that you can cheese most levels by just dropping straight onto the diamond and pulling back out immediately, but the levels all were completable their proper way as well.  The art and music was simple, but it does its job and rounds out the game nicely.  Good job!

Developer

Glad you and your brother had fun

As much fun as janky physics can be, I tried to keep the clunkyness of the rope as low as possible to have some degree of consistency in them, but it was my first time with godot's physics joint so I could only do so much

The alarm time being short enough to allow cheesing isn't something I thought much about but I'm kind of fine with it, it provides an alternate solution based on speed and coordination rather than actually solving the puzzles

If I had time I would've done more on the art side but I hadn't used adobe illustrator in forever and I was alone so I just did what I could, do note I didn't make any of the music & sound effects though
