First RTS I've seen in the jam so I was really impressed with that. It's a nice idea, and I assume if I really took the time to understand the best strategy I could get pretty far.

Nice Job!

Very nice concept!

Didn`t like the screen shake, though!

This was a really cool idea, but in my opinion the screen shake makes it really hard to see what is going on and was making me feel motion sickness. I think the idea of the bots moving on the beat is cool, and perhaps having the units do like a little shake animation on the beat would be fine, but for the entire screen to judder the entire time is just imo too stressful. I also like the idea of chaining together your robots, but it was frustrating to order miner and fighter bots out only to have them all gather back around the pylon if I move it, wasting tons of valuable time. It's a really cool and original idea to have an RTS based on rhythm, so I hope you continue working on this post-jam!

By the way, we played your game on our stream last night!

Thank you so much for your feedback, it was awesome to watch you both play our game!
You were absolutely right about the tutorial/safe starting area. With more complex game mechanics like this, it is quite hard for a new player to figure out what is going on and what to do - especially in a stressful scenario.

In particular we noticed that you had trouble figuring out that you had to link units while spawning them, which is more that understandable to miss. That was probably the biggest piece of feedback we have gotten across the board.

A couple of alternate post jam versions are in the works - focused on different aspects of the design (follow bot_Mark for a polished remake of the core systems). Top of our priority list is a proper introduction/tutorial.

Thank you again for providing such in depth feedback - and persisting past the introductory learning curve that you rightfully called "obtuse".

Actually had to look through the comments to know that you could move the camera with wasd. Despite that, prety cool game, really liked it

keep it up

Music is great, the art is great, it's just the gameplay was somewhat confusing at first. However, once I figured out that I could move the camera with WASD and that I needed to connect the bots to pylons, it was a pretty fun game. The game crashed just as I was about to completely conquer the map.

I think that the concept of using pylons to connect and control units is very interesting, but the controls of the game are very confusing. It is very difficult to try and figure out how to move, direct, and create units. A way to restart the game without refreshing the page would be nice as well. The art and music are great though, and I think the game has good potential.

A nicely polished game, I will suggest changing the font color since it's difficult to read the texts.

This brought me back to my Age of Empires days, when I was a child and I yearned to kill all opposition to my mighty rule. Great music, and a super cool concept that was very satisfying once I got a strategy down. Y'all did a great job on this one.

Definitely recommend adding a way to quit / restart without quitting the game or reloading the page

Oh, for sure! This was on our list of things to do, but unfortunately we didn't get the time to implement it.

The idea was super cool, mixing an RTS with a beat is interesting. I don’t know what I was doing wrong to summon new bots.

Developer(+1)

You are required to connect every new unit to a controller bot, hence the wifi-looking "connecting" icon. We did a *sub-par job of communicating that. One of the myriad tooltip messages we didn't get have time to add would have indicated this.

Aaaaah, that makes sense. I will give it another go then1

Very interesting and polished game! Loved the music and artstyle

Game crashed when I was at 55 crystals :(

Really good concept though and fantastic execution. There's something really satisfying about exhausting a vein of crystals and then whipping that entire branch of pylons across the map with all your units marching behind to reach another vein of crystals.

One bug I had was that there was this pylon making unresponsive miners, so I just had to make another pylon and make the miners from the new one.

Oh shoot! Sorry to hear that it crashed on you. I think I remember that coming up in testing, but the issue was not apparent enough to fix quickly. I am glad you still enjoyed the game, thank you for playing.

Wow, you weren't joking about "All of this goes in sync with an awesome and catchy upbeat track, making decisions fun while being displayed and heard in perfect fashion with the sound of incredible music." Music is really great, and the fact that the game syncs with it is just a nice little touch.

I had a good time with my favorite music, rhythm and graphics. The operation was difficult for me, and I was quickly wiped out by the enemy. It’s amazing to make this in 48 hours!

I really like the way that the camera shakes with the music :D

the protoss is proud of you!

i love it!

The music is really nice, and the way everything is in sync with the music is very satisfying. But I have no idea what is going on, I can't figure out how to move. It took me so long to figure out you have to click the machine to open the menu.

Really well done! Linking it to the rhythm is amazing.
