Might be cool to add an actual attack on a cooldown where you can swing the tail round to a specific point but you can't move while using the attack to allow for some hail mary escapes, it was a bit too hard to dodge enemies and the tail after just a few turned up but I really like the concept.
This was quite a nice take on the games I've seen on this jam with the weapon attached to the character - I expected it to have this swinging mechanics, but the fact that this game didn't made it quite appealing and interesting. Nice job on the game, really enjoyed playing it!
I like the idea to attack with the tail. It was a bit difficult to dodge enemies sometimes since I had to dodge my own tail too though, maybe it'd be better with a more wiggly tail or just remove the tail damage to the player ? Anyway, good job :)
More fun than I expected lol. The sfxs are a bit loud though
I honestly wasn't expecting much at first glance but it was really fun! I definitely see this being super engaging and addicting with more polish, perhaps some swinging with the tail? You definitely found a cool mechanic and your dev art is super cute, good job!
Simple concept, simple execution, but it works well ! A little indicator for off-screen enemies would be appreciated : I died a lot with enemies jumping on me from the edge of the screen ^^. I also would have loved some music :).
simple but fun!
The graphics need a bit of polishing in my opinion, but the concept is awesome: simple, yet fun and can become quite challenging. Good job! :D
Simple concept but i had fun playing it!
nice game, simple but engaging to play more:)
That cat is a knight, right? Expected a little more swaying by the tail. I can easily see this game being played on a phone or tablet.
neat game, gets addictive with how quickly you can be back in the game after dying.
Simple but lovely, a little more art and physics to the tail and it could be released on steam today!
Looks nice. Simple and efficient
Cool Concept, and i like the cat sprite :) Please check out mine when you have time.
Nice title! I have a white cat IRL and she has a flail tail for sure haha (Always knocking things over with her tail) Cool idea and nice simple and clear art! Super neat entry to the jam! Please check out mine when you have time.
A good start! Have you tried using the Spring Joint 2D or Distance Joint 2D components?
This is my first time making a game in Unity, so I have not tried using either of those components. Thank you for the suggestion!
Nice game! The concept is actually quite unique and interesting, and the basic cat sprite is quite nice too :) Some improvements would be to have better art like maybe starting off with changing the default Unity background colour to something else instead :P Otherwise, great work, the game has a lot of potential.
Thank you for the feedback! I didn't spend much time working on the visuals and left most of my placeholder visuals as is, but if I had more time I definitely would've spent more time making the UI and sprites look better.
Cool! The concept is cute and it makes for an addictive game loop. I will say that I died more often due to not being able to hit the enemies (the movement of the ball is rather awkward) than moving into the ball as was most likely intended. The presentation can be improved, of course, but this is not a bad start!
Nice job! It would've been very nice to see some physics with the tail.
