Love the idea of an open world sokoban game. Fantastic job!

This is a great game with a lot of charm. I loved the bridge building mechanic and how much fun it was to explore the world. Would love to see this explored more, with sound and music added. Great job!

Cool game, had fun! Loved the mechanics and art, unfortunate that you didn't have music or sfx, but still great game!

thanks for submitting to the form!

THE GOOD (what i liked, and what stood out for me):

I liked the puzzle aspect, the crafting was very unique and reminded me of 2048! The game itself was a nice mix between puzzle and story, I managed to get 2 of the endings! I don't get how a heart kills you but I guess Ill just roll with it :-). The gameplay was smooth and had a nice clicky feel!

THE BAD (what i disliked, the bugs, and other problems):

There was audio unfortunately, and I think that including some music and sfx would have made the game provide more of an impact, for example having a sound effect for the text could add character to the narrator, maybe something like undertale, where more concerned/tense voices are slow and low-pitched, whilst ecstatic characters have higher-pitched faster text!

THE HARSH (stuff that would just make the game better, usually just personal opinion, don't take it too heavily :D ):

Maybe adding some game juice to the death effects or to combining the wood would be nice. Lastly, maybe adding some more mechanics apart from the wood, idk such as a cannon??

OVERALL: 5,4,3 awesome project, great job!

Thank you for your review! I would like to still develop this game after game jam so things that you've mentioned will be implemented, All of the features you've mentioned were on my todo list with lower priority and I didn't have time enough to actually implement them. It was a great experience to watch you playing my game, thank you :)

Thank you all for your ratings and reviewing my game :D I made a bad thing- I didn't implement in-game controls tutorial. First game jam - last mistake :)

I will also implement some kind of shortcuts after endings and make the game less linear to avoid impact of replaying puzzles after encountering "bad endings".

For those who still struggles with the controls:

Controls

  • WSAD - move objects
  • E - join/unjoin objects to/from player
  • R - reset current floor
  • ESCAPE - reset whole run
  • SPACE - ignore floor text on current floo

fun game, i just wish that rather than the game ending after certain choices it effected the story, but thats alot to do in two days

Developer

Thank you :D Yeah, I would like to make this game less linear in the future :)

Nice mechanic and it feels very satisfying when you figure out the levels! Also love that it's important to move the objects between levels.

That's nice to hear :D I don't like a puzzle games at all, so I wanted to add more "adventure" to my puzzles. I am glad that it worked :D

Interesting take! Although I'm a bit confused that why those character + object move that way at first hand.

Also N O T H I N G W R O N G W I TH S O U T H xD

Developer

Thank you :D I made a mistake not implementing in-game instruction. My bad.

There is nothing wrong with south... If you don't want to save the princess... xD

Love the look and minimalistic feeling of art! Very pleasant.

Good stuff! I've never see combat like this I don't think, it was funny. I found myself thinking "What is this weird AI on these dogs??" But then realized I was controlling them, lol. Overall quite fun! Would be nice if the endings didn't reset.

Developer

Thank you :D Yeah it can be confusing without proper gameplay description (which the game lacks of) xD I will think about some way to save progress after reset

Hello! Neat game, the fact that it's Zelda inspired in both it's parody story and the classic Zelda slippery ice puzzles works out nice. We wish the 'endings' didn't reset the game to start, but all around a pretty solid game!

Developer

Thank you :D Yeah, Zelda parody was one of my goals. So it succeeded :D Maybe in the next version I will add some shortcuts or make game less linear to avoid problems caused by "endings" resettyng the game :)

You came up with a very cool concept. I like how you turned a puzzle game into an rpg, great work!

Developer

Thank you very much! I don't like playing puzzle games so I wanted to add a little depth into mine one :D

Developer

Hi :D I didn't add in-game controls description. I will copy it here from game description to make it easier to find :)

Controls

  • WSAD - move objects
  • E - join/unjoin objects to/from player
  • R - reset current floor
  • ESCAPE - reset whole run
  • SPACE - ignore floor text on current floor
