I must admit, I know how to play tetris like everyone else, so I just skipped all instructions and went straight into the game. Then was surprised why I lost when I completed a line. But of course you wouldn't just remake a tetris without putting some twist on it. So I read the rules and played again, and it's pretty refreshing to play with tetris blocks but with new rules.

I would say that the font choice matches the theme of the game, but is quite hard to read. the block letters is better left for titles, while the longer instructions should just be a normal text font.

Hey, thanks for playing and for your feedback. I am glad you liked the twist on the classical game.

As for the font, we realized after the Jam (and feedback we got) that it would've been better to have it as you suggested - normal text for help.

This was our first Jam, so we can only be better from now on, especially with the feedback we got from the community.

Very original concept! Found the instructions text a bit hard to read and the music loop could have been a bit longer, but it's a well made game. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, and I am glad you find it interesting.

I know we could've done better work with the texts, and even sounds. Thanks for the feedback.

That is a super cool game! I love tetris, and it was so weird trying *not* to make lines - they'd lose my progress. I love these games that take old ideas and break them, great job!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words <3

The idea is very original, but as far as I saw a single cube didn't help much to complete a line lol. Nice game!

interesting... But I think it would have been more fun if the tetris builder had to kill the running block player, while also the blocks fell faster

Thanks. We were discussing adding some game mods, and the Versus mode would've been the first one after the released one.

We'll still be looking into upgrading the game maybe, in the future, just for fun (new modes, multiple levels, particles for power-ups).

This game reminds me of another game-jam game, which isn't a bad thing : this concept is really cool. It doesn't really fit the theme though : cooperation isn't about being joined together.

However the presentation is nice and the gameplay works well.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback.

Related to the theme - our idea is that they have the same goal, that cannot be achieved without joining forces. The block will always fail without the help of the player; the player cannot win if the block doesn't reach the top. In other words, their fate is joined together, and one cannot win without the other

Awesome and addictive game! I tried to play both solo and co-op - it's funnier in co-op. Original idea and music, and catchy presentation.

Fun game with a cool concept. I like how it makes you think more about where you should place your pieces so your stack is climbable. One suggestion would be to change the font in the help menu, because it is pretty difficult to read when the text is small. I also found an audio bug after sliding a powerup block into an overhang. After that, the sound for moving a piece into a wall played repeatedly for the remainder of the game. other than that, it's a cool game with some potential.
