The art is really attractive! Too bad that the dash is not looking for the mouse position :( Great work!

First off, the art is incredible for 48 hours! Absolutely insane!
That being said, I didnt really understand why the character spawns arrows that hurt him whenever he dashes. Furthermore, the controls are very very clunkly. especially for a bullet hell/hack & slash. I understand that the intent is to use the lance to get around quickly, but it doesnt really work as intended. I would speed up the character a lot, and make his movement more responsive, then you might have something that could be very fun on your hands!
Great job, I really dig the core mechanic and the art! I wish controlling it was more fun, the character is just a tiny bit too heavy. Also, the fact that the arrow doesn't follow your original trajectory takes away from the purity of your idea. Congratulations on the submission!
Very nice looking. The art is done well and matches the overall theme. The music is catchy. It took me a few tries to get the hang of how the movement was supposed to work. A tutorial section could help with that. The game does need a health bar. It's really hard to know how much health is left.
A beautiful game with great music! Being able to move faster and throw the lance with the mouse could perhaps have made movement more fluid. Overall a pleasant experience :)
The game looks and sounds beautiful! however I didn't really get a hang of the controls. I wish I could throw diagonally and I wasn't a fan of the arrows coming out of me hurting myself. I feel with a controls overhaul this would be a fantastic game to play.
Yeah, I just mastered it, really cool mechanics, with nice arts and music too! Maybe it will be more fun if the player's movement is faster.
Beautiful, but just too janky. I get that the game wants to encourage you to move with the lance, but the tight spaces plus the magic arrows makes that basically impossible. I think the magic arrows were maybe just one too many things. In such a short timeframe, it's hard to get so many elements working properly.
If this was expanded in the future, I'd suggest it go one of two directions.
1. It could focus in on the magic arrows. The player would dash to move and attack, but always need to fear the arrows as they did. This would require a big, open arena for the player to move around in. Like a bullet hell of your own making!
2. It could drop the magic arrows and go all in on "tied to your lance." Maybe the lance could fire first, without the player moving immediately, and a few seconds later you'd be pulled to the lance's landing spot grappling hook style. Enemies could try to get between you and the lance in order to damage you, and you'd have to fire strategically.
Really nice looking game,
The graphics are what stand out the most in this game, the pixel art is really well done!
The game mechanics on paper could be very fun but I feel like they're not very well executed. It actually took me a minute to realize the arrows were spawned behind me when I thrusted with my spear. I think putting some context on why does the arrow spawns would of been nice. It also lack feedback, when i attacked an enemy i never new if my attack connected or not. The character is also really slow when you're not attacking wich makes dodging the arrows a nightmare.
Otherwise the game is really good looking and the game mechanics, even if they're not really well put together are pretty clever. Hope this can help you improve the game :)
Very interesting idea to make the attack a potential danger.
But i was still missing a little more player feedback, it would be very important for example, to show how much life the player has left. With that, the player can weigh up wheter he prefers to withdraw or to attack. In the beginning i even thought that the arrows were a second attack to defeat enemies.
It's interesting that the player is very slow, so you force him to use the dash as often as possible. Dodging the arrows is still very difficult in my opinion.
I love the overall presentation of your game. Lots of detail is put into the pixel art.
All in all i think this is a pretty solid submission. Good work.
Awesome job with the visuals and audio! A health indicator could be a nice addition, although health didn't really feel like an issue until some of the multi bullet enemies. Fun game!
Love the graphics and sound effects. It was a bit too hard to dodge things with such slow movement, which wasn't so fun.
Really good concept ! I enjoyed the graphics, the gameplay was original and fun, and the music is really catchy and fitting ! Good job !
Just a quick thought : in my opinion, the character movement in itself (without dashing) is a little bit slow : I can understand that you wanted to make the player strategically chose between walking slowly and dashing with magical arrows, but at that speed, walking is never a good option ^^'. Also, a health indicator would have been nice !
Otherwise, that's a really good game !
The art is fantastic! The camera view is a little snug though, and the game could use a health bar of some kind.
Awesome job with this! The art is obviously amazing and I think the overall music and sfx were good too. I was a bit confused at first by the arrows appearing out of nowhere (but that was my bad for not reading all of the description), it offered definitely a twist to the gameplay. The game ended up being quite difficult with that and the slow movement speed but a good challenge. It wouldve been fun if you could dash farther though to make up for the slow move speed and arrows. Overall awesome job!
oh man, first of all the music was a bop, the art is very good also, the movement was a bit too painfully slow compared to the dash, and an indicator of the dash would have been nice to more precicely plan out my moves, very good!
