This was a really smart way to implement the theme, we really liked it! ALl in all, this game gave us a nice 80s arcade vibe! Well done! :)
Very unique way to use the player's health. Kinda like how Sonic can live as long as he has one ring. I enjoyed the game overall but it was hard to rack up points since I was slower than a lot of enemies were just going past the screen. If they were a little slower or stayed on screen til defeated that may have helped for me.
I liked it though. Good Job!
Fun idea here, I quite liked how the split up mechanic worked but there were a few times where sister spawned in a place that immediately got her hit by an enemy which was not fun :(
Nice Shoot 'em up implementation, I had fun playing your game!
Interesting gameplay. Like The idea. The core gameplay is more than ok but I would have liked to see a few more type of bonuses.
minor bug found : It seems that the timer set on the shooting reset if you releae the attack button, so if you spam you shoot faster.
I had a good time playing. good work :)
Cool concept. I liked it.
Nice intro dialogue, I could tell you had fun writing it. :)
Fun little game! Cool mechanic for the recovery, but you can get a bit unlucky with the pink ship respawning in the line of fire of the enemies. Congrats on the submission!
Player control feels good!
dont really get what all the power ups did but i had a good time playing it
Cool game, movement feels really good. Since there seems to be no drawback to always holding fire maybe just have the ships always fire instead of having to hold space.
Really nice game. The intro is a little long for my liking though.
Interesting way of recovering from damage, really incentivizes you to not get hit
The cheesy story is brilliant, I'm a sucker for dialogue that reminds me of the old American ports of Japanese games. I died to nothing a few times, the game it pretty buggy, but nice concept! If you expand on this idea in the future, it might be cool to let the player control both ships at once when the become detached.
I really liked the game. It was hard, which I liked. I did not like being separated from the other person. That just made it even harder
Loved the game but, in my opinion, it still lacks what this kind of game has which is... a powerup. It would be great to add some certain powerup like bullet spreading wider and so on. Anyway, great job!
Logical system, I would say that it could carry a whole shoot-em-up. Especially if you in the future could combine the powers of each ship with different options (like r-type, U.N. Squadron etc.). Gamefeel is a bit rough at the moment, but was still solid fun.
Cool mechanic. Game felt good to play and great art. Congrats on making the game together.
Congrats on making the game together! The concept is actually clever, and the game is quite fun to play. Being able to fire faster by spamming instead of holding the button down is cool! If I have to say, the conversation is a bit slow, and the enemies aren't very different either. Not being able to control the second ship when it could lead to a game over if hit makes it really difficult too. A good game made by the both of you!
I like a straight forward arcade shooter! The idea of the two spaceships un-linking is cool, and having to join up with the sister again to avoid dying is very neat, though the seemingly random placement feels a bit punitive sometimes!
There's one instance were I could not find her on the map!
I think when the two ships become un-linked, your shooting rate could slow down, but your sister's ship could shoot as well. This would compensate your vulnerability somewhat, and also help you find her on the screen more quickly.
