Great concept! I really like the animations and idea of two characters with different abilities sharing the same body! Very nice work!

This is an interesting concept. I laughed when I heard the scream on the fall. That was pretty cool. The combinations are a little tricky to pull off and I noticed the basic attack is too high. It almost always misses the enemies. The most jarring thing though was the camera. I like that it shifts to give you a sense of direction but it's too abrupt and when you get it, the camera gets wacky.

Cool idea but a bit complex for a game jam I think. The fact that you need to know combination of spells "screams" the need for tutorial where you will introduce the need for each spell by propriet level design.

Nevertheless cool idea. Reminds me of Invoker mechanics from Dota or mages from Magika. Good luck :)

As mentioned, the move list being accessible in the game would have been helpful to start. I really like the control method for casting spells, reminded me of fighting games. If you keep working on this project, a little more difference between the two mages (e.g. more spells, or spells having different behavior rather than just not working) would be great. Fantastic animation!

Thank you for playing the game! I was going for exactly that feel of fighting games, glad that you felt that way! I wanted to apply more difference to the mages, but the time constraint really hit me like a truck. I'll implement more unique skills to each one as soon as I continue working on the game!

I really like this, and the fact that you did it by your self is incredible.  One thing I wish was included though was a move list on screen.  Atleast for the first level so you could easily learn how to cast the spells.  Over all I think the game was really good, and fun to play.

Thanks for playing and rating the game, I really appreciate the feedback!

Ok, after figuring that up locked you in place, controlling and flying around was really fun! the other actions didn't really do anything for me. a mage with a fire punch, which didn't do any damage - that was weird. Neither did the other actions or were they meant for traversal?

really liked the fall though! I fell down through the very first hole, haha! nice that that was already possible and didn't reset the level until the final jump!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it! All the actions were meant for a purpose, but not every one of them served it... I'm not that experienced with programming as I'm with animation and music, so I really struggled to get everything working nicely, and it didn't really work that nicely... I hope to continue working on this project and make every move work as I intended them to... Anyways, thank you so much for playing the game and leaving a feedback, I really appreciate it!

This is an interesting concept, but i find controls very unwieldy. Not to mention, fireballs dont seem to damage slime enemies in the slightest, so i was mostly rushing with Wing through the level.

Developer

It is EXTREMELY unfortunate that I couldn't figure out the fireball collision in the enemies for it to deal damage, so I'm sorry for that. Thanks for playing the game, though, I really appreciate the feedback!

I couldn't play very well, but I liked the idea and laughed a lot at the animation that came after the fall, I thought it was cool

if you have a time, test my game too! it was my first jam and my first game development, i will be very grateful if you have any feedback for me

Developer

Of course! I'll most certainly do!

The combos only work with one set of controls, and I find the camera movement makes it difficult to see where I'm going if I do the wing fireball jump thing.

I'm sorry they didn't work... I was extremely stressed out with the deadline and couldn't fix the majority of the bugs. I couldn't even upload the screenshots and cover image. Thanks for playing, though, I really appreciate it!

The game is fun to control and move around in, I will say. As a suggestion, maybe the timer could be shorter so we can easily swap between each character and continue at a fixed pace instead of waiting. Bowser's Fury is a similar concept, with Fury Bowser coming out every so often to attack, and you can use his attacks to find more shines. If you have an Amiibo, you can summon Bowser at will. I thought of this game while playing and it seems like a good place to take inspiration from if you ever intend to continue working on the game.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I will certainly have a look at it!
