Vertical manoeuvre pigeon got me laughing good.
While it's a shame that it's unfinished, what's in here is very well thought. The traditional platforming mechanics are functional, but the ideas brought to the table are what make this project special.
Having this duo of birds have different functionality when together and separated really sets up the place for a lot of puzzle mechanics, and it's even better that some are not just "this character can only do X, and the other can only do Y", but that both have different feeling and limitations due to their size and even weight.
The best puzzle platformers use the limitations of the characters to their strengths, and having two characters - which actually can be considered 3 if you count their combined form - opens up a lot of opportunities, which would be fantastic to see explored in the future. Great job here! 🐦
Nice game.
1, It needs sound, music, and polish.
Besides that, nice game.
I would be very happy if you would play my game.
Love the art btw! And also many concepts
Cute game! I like your choice of a penguin and a pigeon to be your two characters. :D
Like other commenters mentioned, the pigeon controls took a little bit to get used to. I wasn't able to get past the part where you need to get the pigeon / penguin duo to the water, so I tried to get as far as I could with just the pigeon. XD
This has a lot of potential, nice concept and aesthetics!
Really cool game! I really love the art style and animations! However, I wish there was audio. Besides that, awesome work!
For an unfinished game, this is really good! The art style is really cute, and the main mechanic of switching between a character that can fly and a character that can swim has some real potential. This is definitely a game to expand on and finish in the future, especially with a lot of bug fixing - I think I got stuck in the water as the penguin.
Fun idea! I struggled a bit to get the perch control to work, but I think this would be awesome with a little ironing out!
Spikes doesn’t kill, it’s all an illusion. We live in the matrix. Nothing matters anymore. Snap back to reality. I wanna go back to monke.
Love the pigeon animation and the flying controls are great
It is a very nice game and the graphics are very cute, flying with the pigeon is a bit difficult at first but I have to say that flying with the pigeon has its charm, great game! :D
Love the idea of being able to separate the birds and both having different purpose. Flying Controls feel really good.
The rest is honestly a bit janky and the level isn't super fancy but I really dig the concept.
Really funny but a bit bugged, I noticed the spikes don't kill you so you have to restart the game if you get stuck there
Immediately reminds me a bit of Banjo Kazooie (maybe the penguin in this is more useful than Banjo though). Love the puzzles and pigeon flight feeling, I think this is genuinely something I could see myself playing if it was fully fleshed out.
really nice graphics & animations for the characters, would have loved to see more of the game but what you did with the given time was great :D
Gotta love that pigeon crash animation
he looks so concerned - I think this is because in real life, pigeons are temporal and never get hit by anything
cool game! i dig the core idea.
It's a bummer you weren't able to finish, but I think for the time y'all did quite well! I very much enjoy the art style, and the pigeon being able to fly is quite nice, and could lead to some interesting puzzles (though the flying is a bit hard to control). I think if you want to go forward with this project, you should focus on getting the penguin feeling useful, as their limited movement felt a bit limiting. Good job!
