Realy nice art style, the controls are simple enough to start playing right away. The pick up / throw mechanic felt a bit buggy for me at times but thats probably an easy fix.
Level design was also cool and the difficulty progression was pretty good.

I had the same problems with item pickup that a lot of other people had, but I'd agree it seems like the beginning of something fun with a little more polish. The graphics were fun and fit your theme well. Nice work.

Some good ideas in this game and I think with a little more polish it would really stand out. I think coyote time and input buffering would help the platforming feel better. The controls themselves felt responsive and gravity didn't feel floaty which I find lots of platformers in game jams do so good job there! Artwork was really fun and I liked the music. Good job!
Thanks a lot man! I totally agree with you and I know how to implement those features (coyote time & buffer) I really wanted to add at least the jump buffer which I found really necessary for this game, but man I just didn't had time, maybe on an after jam update I'll add those .
@GalloPintoGames art looks polished for a 2-hour jam great work on that, music was also good it was fitting the game although sometimes my player gets stuck on the platforms, and sometimes ingredients just do not pick up, btw movement was responsive good workman :D

Controls were a bit clunky and found it a bit difficult to consistently pick up the items successfully. Also, I think it might have been cool to add a system where you got heavier when picking up the item to further increase difficulty. Artwork and audio were really nice though. Good job!
Thanks for your comment! I had a lot of ideas for this one, like not be able to jump when carrying an item or some items that you can only kick instead of picking up, but well I barely made this in time, maybe I can add those in a post jam update : )

There is a bug in the first level on the right side. If i'm falling fast, the sprite falls right through the floor.

Not sure what happened but no matter how I position the character and clicked on "Z" I could not pick up anything. Unless I was supposed to pick them up in a specific order? if so, it was not clear. I did jump on the cauldron and just enjoyed the falling animation since it does not register I touch a solid and thinks I am still falling. ;) Nice sprite work :)
Thanks! Try leaving some space between the character and the item, if you are too close doesn't work, I need a little bit more time to polish that, thanks for the feedback. Haha the flying over the cauldron, let's say I leave like that as a joke xD

I like the art a lot, you've got a good eye for design, but the first level is bugged, I can only pickup the feather. Good try though, hope to see your work in future jams!

I really like the art and music! I could tell you put a lot of time into it. One criticism is that the jump seems a little floaty to me. It's still a lot of fun though! I particularly liked the cute animations
