How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a bulletin board giving out quests to heroes rather than playing as a hero completing quests like in many video games, stories, etc. Heroes subvert typical character tropes.

Great writing, funny characters and being an inanimate object. It has it all.

Great work really fleshing out the story and world - love the intro sequence. The gameplay loop is a bit trial and error as mentioned by others, but the writing really shines here! Nice work.

An interesting idea with some great art, though I wish there was a bit more info about the characters to start, instead of having to trial and error your way to success. Also there were some spelling mistakes, but with how much text is in the game it's understandable.

I like the writing and the comic aspect of the game. Felt like it needed something to improve the pace, but reading the stories and the outcomes was fun. Maybe it would be nice if we had just a bit more information about the characters on the first playthrough, enough to be able to have small wins (I failed 5 out of 5 in my first and second playthroughs haha).

That being said, the character building after each playthrough does add to the game, though, like a "story roguelite" of sorts. This was a very creative and funny game. Great job!

Really interesting concept and the world building/character design is amazing and funny. I love this!

The game's art was awesome! I loved the character portraits and the opening comic. I had a lot of fun reading the stories, sometimes I found myself sending characters that I know will fail the mission just to read what they will do in the situation. its sad that only one ending works but that happens in game jams and no need to worry about it. I had a lot of fun, great job.

The opening sketches are so cute!

The art is amazing 💚 As for the gameplay, it was a bit repetitive, but it is understood by the game genre that it is 💚

A neat game mechanic with fantastic art!

Not much to add what others have said, top notch presentation and funny, but gets bit repetitive/slow at the end. And even with 5 "perfect" successes, it still fails to defeat the warlock. For the gamejam game experience maybe 4 normal successes would have felt worthy of getting an ending, and all perfect for some extra good "true" ending?

the various character portraits are so nice, and all the details in the stories, wow!

I've actually managed to get 5 different missions to perfect in the lead up to the final confrontation, but was still told I didn't make it. :(

This idea is really unique! Although it felt a little repetitive, it was definitely a welcome change of pace!

LOVED the narrative and story! It's a cozy game where u take time with it. Not many games based on writings and this is a good one for people who wanted to enjoy chill time with the game! :)

Love the art in this so much. Great game, genuinely would buy a full version of this game.

liked the overall artsyle and theme! a nice chill and cozy game than many others in this jam.

Lot's of quality writing in this one! You don't see that a lot in jam games. Did find it a bit difficult to guess the right hero's for the job. Ended up failing all the quests haha

Super fun and creative got addicted from the start and played for longer then i whould like to admit.

Quite interesting idea! I had two (and a half) runs before giving up winning against the warlock, but I enjoyed playing it. The writing was top-notch, and it's impressive you managed writing so much content in just 48h. I did have a bit of a trouble understading why I failed missions though. I think it's because at least 2 out of 3 heroes must be successful in the mission, but if that's the case, I think it would be good to give players feedback on this (which heroes had success or failed on each mission, besides the description itself). Great job!

loved your art :)

Very creative! I thought the writing was witty, and pulled me in and the comic at the start was great! Some of the UI visuals could use some polish, but the artwork in general was great.

Developer

agreedt! hoping maybe to do some of that UI polish in the future and expand with more stuff!!
