I know this is really late, but whether or not you intended it, this simple game is such an amazing exploration of how capitalism encourages corruption, especially when hyperinflation takes effect. It's really really awesome and I still come back to play it. This is my favorite game of the jam by a wide margin and it's criminally underrated. Great job swilliamsio!
(Getting past round 30 is a nightmare. That's a good thing! That feeling when you see the next rent increase and you just feel completely hopeless is what makes this game so perfect!)
Very cool game! I feel like there could be some more mechanics in here, like players trying to cheat in ways other than bribes? Like choosing their object a second after the other person to guarantee a win, or choosing a gun, as that could add lots more complexity and could also work with the bribes? Idk just an idea.
Heh, pretty neat idea! Seems a little RNG dependent and the pacing could be a bit faster, but we did enjoy taking bribes from people who wouldn’t have needed to bribe us, anyway. Good job.
Great idea! One thing that could definitely be improved is the difficulty, since I don't think the game is challenging to beat. You could also add some more gamemodes ^^ Good job nonetheless!
This is a really creative idea! I like the balancing act of keeping control of your meter while trying to get the most money. The thing I was a bit confused about was that there didn't seem to be a penalty for accepting a bribe but then ruling the other way.
A nice simple game! I don't really understand why the player who should be winning the round anyway would also would try to bribe me, often with more money than the losing player attempted to offer, but hey, it lets me take a bribe *and* look clean(ish)! I did find it a bit too easy to hit the money goals without ever having an issue with the corruption meter as a result, though. Also, it was absolutely hilarious that I could take a bribe and then not actually rule in that player's favor.
Fun and simple game! Don't really get why the winning player was trying to bribe me but I'll take it... Hahaha Really fun
Pretty fun, and quite easy. Maybe adding a timer would make the game more interesting. Also I never figured out whether there is a penalty for taking someone's bribe and saying the other person won?
Nice theme implementation, love it!
Simple but quite a creative idea. I have no idea games like this can be made from concepts that seem straightforward! nice job!
Also, not sure why but 3 rounds in I kinda expected them to pull bazookas on each other
but bribery works toooo xD
Great game!
Simple but good link to the theme.
This is fun! I love the bribe mechanic - it adds a lot to an otherwise simple game. I'd love to see what else you could add with more time!
Pretty addicting game. While it may become repetitive after a while, it remains an original and enjoyable experience. Well done!
It's like a very low stakes Papers Please. Short sweet and simple.
So nice taking a bribe when he's gonna win anyway, even if it does fill what I'm guessing is the 'sus' meter.
"You're gonna win anyway but yeah, I'll take the bribe." Haha! This was oddly captivating. I hustled those two smileys for all they had. Good work!!
I'm rich!
Very good and well-balanced game!
Good job!
Original and addictive ! nice one!
The music was choosen very good and the game is cool and very enjoyable ! :)
