I had some trouble understanding how it works at first but I think I figured it out after dying two times! :D
I liked the graphics and music, very fitting for the game!
In the end I just played with one car left and grabbed onto it which was real fun bcs I didn't have to follow it manually! But I don't know if it was gamebreaking, bcs the car didn't get off the tracks anymore!
Also the endscreen said I saved 3 cars, but I didn't so somethings off there!
But it was really fun, great game!

Actually very enjoyable! Though the gameplay gets a bit repetetive (maybe a couple minigames instead of just the 1). Grappling all over the place was very satisfying.

The fishing mechanic was a bit hard for me to understand at first, but once I got it and understood that I could propel myself using the tires on the ground, the game became very satisfying and addictive!😀

I love it! Definitely a unique take on a racing game. Never thought about playing as the lakitas but somehow you made that really fun in and of itself. The only thing I would say is that it would have been nice to have a dash or a slightly higher movement speed because it was pretty hard to keep up with the racers. Great game all around!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! If you missed it, you can actually perform a dash by hooking onto the spare tires throughout the map! You can also hook onto moving cars to speed along behind them! I wish I had time for a full tutorial.
Ooo, I did miss that. I was wondering what the tires were for. That would help a fair amount then, I'll have to try it again just to mess around with that too.
Hey guys, this is my completely justified and totally not joke review of Lakitu Simulator 2023. The racers all thanked me. This would never happen, as Lakitu is never thanked. Very unrealistic, 0/10.
Jokes aside, this game was very fun and I could play this for way longer than I probably should if I let myself. GG
You're right, should've made some angry sounds haha. That would be cool to add as a random chance event
Haha I accidentally grappled onto one of the cars and drifting behind it was so much fun I did it for a whole lap! Really enjoyed the gameplay, definitely laughed when the stardew valley fishing mechanic popped up! Great take on the theme and grappling around was very satisfying

omg yessss I was hoping someone would do something like this! It's almost like a fishing game but you're fishing the dumb racers out of their doom, I love it.

Aw man. This gave me another idea for this theme. You have to be lakitu as the 3rd person camera and keep mario in shot to win. Good one.

Really fun and fast paced, the graphics were really good. Felt like what you'd expect playing as Lakitu to feel like in mario kart

I think the idea for the theme is done pretty well! I get to rush as Lakitu in an NES style racing game. The most fun I had was definitely slinging in between the track using the tires. Played twice and went from 300 points to over 1000. Well done, I think you nailed the aesthetic you were going for.
