I like the twist, would have benefitted from more stuff to do. I saw another concept, but you had to run away from the snake. One quality of life (not sure as it will make it a lot easier) is, hold to move.
In these past few days, I've tried many adaptations of the snake game. There are so many variations, whether it's feeding the snake, escaping from the snake, or killing the snake. lol. However, each game has a different final outcome when it comes to gameplay.
Interesting twist on Snake! The game over sound scared the bejeezus out of me with headphones though, may want to turn that down a bit. Otherwise a cool little game.
Fun game and creative mechanic!
That's a twist on the theme that I didn't see coming, great job! the snake is doing some illegal moves and the food feels a bit clunky to control, but that's the spirit of a gamejam game - it's not done, definitely not perfect, and that is okay. :D
One more snake mini-game. It was interesting, but I think the "snakeness" could be used more
Good game. We've made a snake game too, but in our game the goal is to kill the snake
the game is fun the apple once spawned in the wall, and i didn't really understand how the snake moves but that's it everything else was nice!
and also my game isn't getting a lot of views, can you give me some feedback ?
my fingers hurt. and I got jumpscared by the game over sound haha. a really fun game
A very nice approach to the game, once I got the hang of it and thinking about how the snake will react it was super fun :)
I got 32 points!
Fun game and good twist on snake!
I like how we both thought of playing as the food and having obstacles but the overall game is very different
I enjoyed playing the game good job :)
Nicely done. Execellent idea
Snake doesn't follow snake rules (it can cross itself). Otherwise good job.
Because I encountered some bugs, I ended up removing that rule.lol
makes sense
Nice! I think it kind of felt unfair how sometimes I got practically impossible spawns, but the mechanics were enjoyable.

btw I would really appreciate it if you were to check out my game, thanks!
Pretty cool, but sometimes impossible. Maybe im just bad lol.
I liked the concept of guiding the snake towards the food. I think it would more intense if you had a smaller space to move the snake, and you could see where the next food will appear so the goal is to guide the snake to safe place where you can leave snake while you while to the snake.
An interesting concept. I think the extra challenge from having the snake be able to collide with itself would add some more challenge to the guiding. And if the food couldn't move through the snake, you would have to avoid getting trapped in a loop
Pretty cool game. I like the concept of the food working together with the snake and not just running away from it (unlike in my reverse snake game). The controls are a bit janky because you have to spam the movement keys. Also the sound of the snake dying is like an audible jumpscare, it's way too loud.
I like the concept and it was executed well. I didn't understand the goal for a bit and thought that I was just supposed to run from the snake, but I figured it out eventually. Well done!
Cool game. I also did a reverse-snake style game, so clearly great minds think alike, eh? :)
Are there levels after the third? I got to about 30 points, then my pellet didn't spawn in and the snake ran itself into a wall. I didn't realize at first that the goal was to feed the pellet to the snake, I was running away instead for awhile and wondering why my score wasn't increasing on the first level. That could be explained in the description maybe. It'd also be nice if I could hold WASD to move instead of having to press it. It gets a bit tiring spamming the keys.
I spawned in a wall once too, but it let me out thankfully.
I like the minimalistic graphics a lot, super clean. Nice work!
There are currently only three levels. The key controls do indeed need optimization.
I'm also trying out different variations on the reversed hungry snake game. Although we all share a similar concept, the final results differ tremendously. That could be the interesting part of this game jam theme.
