SUPER FUN
One of the best submissions in terms of fun! I really want to see this game expanded and more levels made, because I really had fun playing this!

Thanks for the kind words!

Really fun game! I really liked Chad Maverick's description. I noticed that the first level was the hardest, as I only had two units, but still a very good game! I would enjoy seeing a full version!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing the character descriptions: the deadline was a great excuse to write some slightly unhinged, sleep-deprived humour and see what happens XD.

Submitted

Very polished!

Thank goodness the AI got stuck on the first and second level! Otherwise I wouldn't have made it! Once I got the snipers and the hand cannon the rest of the game was easier! I really liked the story bits!

Developer

Thanks for your kind words! I see you also went for the "reverse stealth" idea for your game - looks great :)

THIS COP IS BADASS DUDE. I reaaally like this game its super fun to play, very crative aswell and sfx, music and graphics are awesome. Just wish a less steeper slope to learn the mechanics, like easier levels at the begining, I just got rammed over and over no matter how I placed my NPCs. Congrats for the game man!

Pretty fun to place sneaky shotgun enemies around corners to try and ambush the ai cop. Good job!

Dang this is a really challenging game, but I like the incorporation of thinking strategically :) Good job!

I would love to see the full version of this. The concept is interesting and the presentation is great. The game only needs some bugfixing.

Wonderful game, beautiful and nice setting. I love Hotline Miami so I was into it immediately. However, I would have like to be able to have some influence over the situation during the action phase, like being able to tell units where to go and when.

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing and for your kind words! There was a "direct control mode" in the works where you could assume direct control of a unit during the action phase, but that ended up getting scrapped due to time constraints.

Submitted

That sounds like fun, as long as it doesn't make the player unfairly powerful, but I can totally see why it would be cut

didnt know police had such a strong body amour that block so many bullets XD
jokes aside, i think would be nice to have a circle of "not placeable" for my troops! great job on the game!

This is presented super well and the game is fun once you get the hang of it. It was a little difficult to begin with but beyond that I had a blast. Great job! Super sleak visuals and audio!

Really cool idea. First level was already too hard for me though, but still really liked the Hotline Miami vibes.

Cool game, pretty hard from the get-go. Would have liked to see a small tutorial to get to know the tactics and strategies better, but hey, 48 hours, right?

One thing i would change, is keep the 'player' visible even when out of sight from your guys, i lost track of him several times :P

I like this take on the tower defense genre, where you don't know what path the enemy is going to take. I did get a bit frustrated with the characters never shooting because they would get stuck, though.

It absolutely blows my mind you can get this much done in two days. I had a lot of fun doing a few rounds. My only complaint is the AI on the players side can be frustratingly dumb at times, but it is a game jam game, and still really impressive and fun. Love the aesthetics of your page (and the game obviously.)

These cops are so strong.

Developer

Of course they are - they're fueled by Justice and Synth Music!

Submitted(+1)

I like how it hotline miami but reversed and instead of rush game it's become tackicle

Submitted(+1)

I like that compared to regular tower-defense games here you have much more freedom to place your turrets/units and you have to try to anticipate which path enemy will choose. Overall idea is great but the game lacks polish and the units often got stuck.

Developer

Yep... the units getting stuck is an unfortunate bug that slipped in near the end of development.

Thanks for playing anyways!

Fun and interesting take on the theme. Getting to build the level and watching it play out was fun and kinda reminded me of our own submission. Great work!
