The puzzles in this are pretty well made, I’ve felt stumped for a while on some of them. I noticed areas with no bookshelf might be hints at what you need to do, and it’s helped me a couple of times. I don’t actually know if that’s intentional or not, but this was a fun and challenging game! Great work \o/

Developer

Thank you! I would love to say they were good hints to help the players but unfortunately not. Some just aligned well with the puzzles.

This is a nice idea and well executed. Good work.

Developer

Thank you!

Played it from the game page instead of the random submission page and it worked flawlessly! Nice game. I very much enjoy puzzle games and while the premise is technically simple, the puzzles themselves are of an enjoyable difficulty. Cute graphics and great sounds. Very fun and satisfying :) Would love to play more of it!

Some kind of bug with me with Godot web apps: Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

Something missing

Developer

Oh no! I've had a few people report this, I suspect because the web player relies on an experimental feature it doesn't always work. Someone mentioned when they used the randomiser to get to the game it didn't work but directly going to the page did.

Is it still failing to load for you? https://skeffles.itch.io/wizard-retreat

Thanks AIA. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This was harder than I thought it would be, and in a good way (maybe because I'm a sucker for a good puzzle). Interesting mechanics. Congrats :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I finished it! That last puzzle had me stumped but victory was mine...eventually! It was a very fun little puzzle game. I think you did a great job in the sense that the mechanics were really easy to grasp but robust enough to really have to think to solve some of the puzzles. The visuals were very clean and readable(i.e I knew what was going on. always a plus in my book). I don't have a ton of feedback really, perhaps its a bit short and I would love more levels but honestly that is not feedback that is me just having a good time and wanting more. Great work.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it and wanted more. Thank you!

-Enjoyment: This was super fun!! Satisfying watching it after the path is made!

-Creativity: Super creative!!

-Presentation: Love the retro clean pixel art!

Did you make this in your own engine as usual? Keep it up :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks Neat! I actually used Godot for this one because I wanted to have it available in the browser. Although that being said there might be a way for my engine to work on the web that I should check out.

Submitted

Oh awesome! I still haven't tried Godot, I can barely use Unity hehehe

Very satisfying to complete a level, definitely the last one was nice to figure out the path! I had a lot of fun playing this. Nice visual style as well, great job!

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

This puzzle game is pretty good. The puzzles had me thinking for a good bit and It was satisfying to see the book reach the wizard after creating a path. Good stuff!

Developer

I'm glad. Thanks for checking it out!

I came from the randomizer and the web player didn't work but it worked from another link: https://skeffles.itch.io/wizard-retreat

Developer

That's a pain but might explain why it's not loading for others.

Thanks Seann

doesnt run

Developer

I'm sorry to hear that. I've had some reports that it doesn't run from the randomiser.

Can you see if directly going to the page runs the game? https://skeffles.itch.io/wizard-retreat
