This game was actually very enjoyable, it was really fun controlling my soldiers through these tower defense - sorry, OFFENSE levels!

Additionally, the game has great replayability, and I really want to see how many troopers i can get through the game with. Great submission!

Like others have said there should be some kind of consequences for losing units. Besides that fun game!

The only thing that I find sad from a gameplay perspective is the fact that this game does not really encourage the player to keep as many units alive as possible. They can be considered to be a health bar, but fewer units mean it’s easier to dodge. So if we lose half of the squad on the first level, it doesn’t feel like a big loss. Maybe a score that would carry over could change this (so you can get 95+90+85 instead of 50+49+49), but I can’t see it on the menu screen. Perhaps it’s shown after you lose everyone?

I... I l-lost them all... I couldn't save a... Th-the s-screams... o7

There's a lot of "tower offense" this jam, but this is the first one I played where you directly control the troops instead of placing them! And the goofy group dynamic makes for a funny little experience!

The game does get very hard very fast, I couldn't get past level 5, but this is the kind of games where you just want to retry one last time, because it will different this time, I swear! (Narrator: But it wasn't.)

The visuals are a bit lacking, but the little story and gameplay make up for it.

Good job! =)

Hey! this game is really cool :0 I really enjoy unit management games like these! One thing I noticed is that when you press up against walls with the units, the game slows down very, very quickly and it's difficult to navigate the map like that. Overall, though I really liked the music and the gameplay and I think this concept was very well done <3

Something about the music and the tons of men running was just extremely hilarious to me. Great work on that front, haha!

That aside, this was pretty fun. My main complaint with the game is the lag during certain points of it, I guess this is caused by simulating so many entities all at the same time. Additionally, I think the game got a bit too hard a bit too fast. I only made it to level 5 before dying and lost most of my men in earlier stages. There were just so many projectiles being thrown around that it was very difficult to not lose men. Some of the turrets also seem to fire predictive shots, and even though they travel slowly it makes it quite hard to traverse safely! Other than that I think this game just needs a big coat of polish to make the gameplay really hit.

Overall, good work, and good luck in the jam! I do like the idea of navigating through a tower defense, it has the potential to create very interesting gameplay scenarios if explored further.

Funny interpretation of the theme. I liked the graphics and that you added a tutorial to help people to get used to the game. Well done.
Fell free to try my game too :)

Excellent execution of a tower defense reverse game! I did not make it past level 4 because my dudes kept dying but i enjoyed listening to them go "oof!" "ow!" as they died.

i imagine future iterations would have the towers give different effects, like slowing or something, which might add variety.

Fun game!! It's funny, you rush through it thinking its easy, until you realise that the amount of dudes you have is the amount that survived in the last round, and the way you play it changes immediately to be super-high stakes - almost like there's a role reversal in just the way you play it when you work it out. The art and music could use some work, but the gameplay is super interesting and fun, nice work!

A fun game. When I won but I didn't enter all my unity, I had 90 unity but entered only 10 so it too 10 and when the next level loaded I got 10. Very nice game play.

A fun game! I liked playing around with the shape of the group, would have been cool to highlight that a little more, the levels so many bullets from all directions that you're sort of forced to stay in a circle. Had fun with it!

I really loved this lol! I'm not very good at it though lol. there should be a penalty for losing units, like a speed debuff or something.

I love the idea of a reverse tower defense lemmings style game. Got really hard there at the end! Great job

It's a cool idea, and a pretty fun game! Presentation wise, it's a little rough, and moving too fast breaks the camera; otherwise an enjoyable experience.
