Really cool game, abit hard, and still really fun. Great execution and game.

01:22 ! Great game :D but i would not play more than two times... maybe you should add more features.

Very fun game, love the visual effect. Is it a shader?

Developer (1 edit)

Yes exactly! The game is entirely rendered in one fragment shader. By the way I made a small video showing each step of the process of creating the environment and visuals in the shader:

That's amazing, thank you!

I've been meaning to get better at making shaders, maybe this summer will be the time for that.

Just out of curiosity, how are you making the shaders? Is it a program (like Unity's ShaderGraph) or through a language like HLSL?

Developer

I am using the language GLSL (with WebGL). If you're interested, I recommend this introduction to shader programming:

Wow, that art is stunning -- super polished. Simple gameplay but really solid unique concept - haven't seen anyone else do putting items back. I think the fast-paced free movement really made it. Nice work!

Very simple but polished. Really good for a game jam

Amazing! Very simple mechanics, but it just felt so good to move around and dodge the enemies. The artstyle is well polished and cute :

Procedurally generated to?? Nice!

The movement of the character is great. The aesthetics as well. I enjoyed playing it and tried to beat my own record a few times. Good job!

The art style is adorable, I love the little main character. The UI showing where to place the gems was a great addition, it made completing the game a lot more doable

Submitted(+1)

Nice presentation, the artstyle is very unique and I love the wat the map has a layer of noise just to make it irregular, that's a really nice touch. Great entry!

Submitted(+1)

Nice movement on the character. It felt great when i could use all gathered momentum to jump back up. Art also was cute and looked great. Only thing that would improve it further would be to have some more interesting AI on the enemies.

I love feeling this sense of freedom that movemant in your game is making

A satisfying experience! I agree that it is a bit simple. Maybe if there was something in the gameplay that these gems affected negatively, giving reason for putting them back, that could make it more interesting. Great art and minimal but great audio. Great work!

Art style is lovely, however the content is a bit 'lonely' you could say. It's just you going how a hole filling gems while being hunted by light. It's a nice idea but it's boring after a few playthroughs.

simple concept but the movements and graphics were suuuuper pleasant. some stronger feedback could’ve been nice especially when getting hurt, also, placing/collecting doesn’t feel significantly different here. but ye me dodging 5 or so enemies with one hp left was extreeemely satisfying congrats!

I love the art style! The sounds were also really satisfying. Good job, and creative use of the theme!

The graphics are very interesting to me. It looks like super-pixelated 3D with layered perlin noise terrain. The jumping physics felt very smooth. Nice work!

Cool! The physics when you go on a slope are really satisfying, and the whole thing felt well made. Some music could have added on to the atmosphere. Well done!

Very nice gameplay, thanks for the opportunity
