I like the concept for the game and it feels good to play - especially when you get the big oomph on the triple shot :)

If I had to give it any sort of criticism it would be that the UI is not clear on first glance as to what each bar is supposed to be.

Pretty fun! The idea of swapping between characters was definetly interesting and I have not seen it implemented in quite the same way as it is here. As others have mentioned already, diagonal movement would have helped a lot with controlling the character. I also felt that the game was a bit confusing at first, maybe a small tutorial would have helped, but once I got the hang of it, I had a good time. Good job!

I like the swapping feature. It lets you strategize for a bit. Also, the gunplay feels good!

Pretty fun! I enjoyed the switching and the mechanics of the zombies. Trying to swarm the player is a cool idea!

Wow! had a great time playing it! i didn't anticipated the change and panicked a little bit when starting to play the zombie, but overall the game is good!

Awesome concept, pretty fun to play! was pretty cool to try to corner the player as a zombie, although playing as the player is kind of easy, but i guess he got a gun xd.

Nice concept! Love how you have to menage the resources between the human and zombies! Maybe is a little bit complicated to explain at the beginning, but i quick get used to it. A problem is the lack of diagonal directions, with them the control would be perfect.
Good job!!!

Developer

Thanks, I will fix that in the next version as many pointed this out

I like the game, it is fun to play:D The only thing I would add is diagonal movement, it is really hard to dodge without it

nice game!

Fits the theme to a tee and has good art, especially for the boss, would be amazing if there was a clearer indicator/transition of swapping characters. Great job!

It was a fun game, although a little confusing at first. I had to read the description a few times over. But after you know what you need to do it becomes really fun. The idea of swapping between the player and the zombies is very interesting. The gorilla boss is really hard, I don't know how you're supposed to beat it especially when you keep getting swarmed by all of the zombies. I feel all of the different bars and stuff can be confusing and I didn't even realize that they corresponded to different abilities. An in game tutorial or just a better tutorial would be much appreciated. Great game though!

Developer

Thanks, I will add a tutorial in the next update to clarify all those abilities. The boss is there if you want to really challenge yourself (Kind way to not to say I made it too difficult :D)

A very cute game! The feedbacks are a very strong point in this one in particluar, i liked the gun sound and how it felt! Maybe i would had added diagonal movement but aside of that, all around, you understand the mechanics almost immediatly! I got to the gorilla boss fight but then i lost, good job on the game!

fun game, you could add an in-game tutorial level and improve graphics on the next update.

Developer(+1)

Thanks.
Sure I was already planning to do that. If you are interested you can follow me to get notified about the next update after the jam.

Good work. This is a very enjoyable game. I really like how you play as both the player and a zombie.

Tried to survive in your game so long how I could.
You have chosen good music.
I also a little bit don't understand, how I can launch your linux build in Arch.

Developer (1 edit)

Wow such a big highscore! Thanks for playing.

The linux build is for amd64 not aarch but if you want, as I made the entire game for RaspberryPi, it takes nothing to make a build for it. Let me know and I will make it asap.

The downloadable builds works smoother btw

Just, can you make a executable file in .zip without .dep packages?

Developer (3 edits)

the deb package is actually a zip, to run it without sudo you can extract it with 'dpkg -x file_name.deb .'

with sudo: 'sudo dpkg -i file_name.deb'

the executable is in the bin folder

Submitted

Thanks, but executable file won't run

I also want to note that it's cool that you made a game without an engine. Good job!
