Good interpretation of the theme, and a great design - I had to actually think about which hearts I wanted to get to make certain sections easier or harder.

Game design tip: don't apologize for things you didn't end up putting in the game! We, the players, have no idea what your original plan was, so if you don't tell us, we won't know anything's missing ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congratulations on making a full game! ๐ŸŽ‰

Thank you! Attacking was a very important mechanic i didn't get to add. I even had to change the texts in the "tutorial" area, and i didn't know what else to write there. Initially it was going to tell you, you can attack them

Simple and very fun. I really enjoy basic platformers with simple controls. It was just a little bit difficult at the beginning, it was too easy to touch the tramps, maybe cause of the change in scale or something about the hitbox but I guess it was the intention. Cool funny game, congrats on your first project!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I made the hitboxes 1 pixel smaller than the actual traps but maybe i should make them 2 pixels smaller. But it's probably because of the scale, i didn't have much time to design the level more around the scaling mechanic

Very cute little game, with tight controls so that's always nice! But man, these always make me realise how much I suck at platformers ahah. Really great job for just 48hrs!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Didn't think anyone would compliment the controls, since i forgot to add coyote time and jump buffer

Its great to see so many fellow Godoters!

Iteresting concept my health be how big I get because sometimes I have to take damage in order to proceed, ou sometimes I cant get hearts or else Iโ€™ll hurt myself doing it. Very cool, and also I love platformers as you can tell by my game. Congrats!!

Developer(+1)

I didn't have time to implement all the features, you we're supposed to be able to get health by killing enemies, also attacking takes consumes a tiny bit of HP, so if you we're too big to fit somewhere, you could just attack a few times to lose some size.
I will add all the mechanics and make a better level after the GameJam is over

Good platformer, cute visuals, simple but working take on the theme! Well done, especially for your first completed game, you can be proud of yourself :)

Fun little platformer. Good job!

Nice game however if you could add more mechanics that can be only accessible with specific size such as smaller = glides more but moves a lot which controlling will be hard where big one will be easier to control and for a short amount be bulkier and take less damage but ofc an idea, overall good game with a good potential good job bayboy

Developer(+1)

This was the original plan, sizing was supposed to affect attack damage, speed, and jump height, but unfortunately i didn't have time to implement it

Couldn't crawl into the fun-looking pipes and got stuck in the hidden bro lives cave 0/10.

jk great job, this is a fun little game!

Developer

You gave me an idea, i might actually add the ability to go into the pipes if you're small enough!

As for the hidden lives cave, it was intentional. But i should've added a text like "Don't be greedy", since if you grab a few you can still leave, but if you try grabbing them all, you get stuck.

The character was a lot faster than I expected, but I still had a good time playing the game.

Love the gameplay, the hitbox of the spikes are little bigger. but I had a good time playing! congrats

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

I thought i was quite generous with the hitbox size ๐Ÿ˜…

Submitted(+1)

this was a really cool concept but unfortunately the platforming is wonky :/

Developer

I kept forgetting to add coyote time and jump buffer as i prioritized other things. But after the gamejam ends i will definetly add those alongside tweaking the acceleration and deceleration and adding some game juice!

(+1)

Coyote time would help improve the platforming greatly.

Developer

Ironically enough, this is the first project where i DIDN'T add it. I wanted to, but i really wanted to get other things done and forgot about it

Submitted(+1)

Very good game, it's quite entertaining and challenging at the same time, especially if you lose life ^^

Really fun gameplay and great take on the theme!

Good job!

Pretty fun! I had a terribly difficult time tbh, but I liked that the character was fast and I could really feel the impact that my current health had. Great idea and solid work all around :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, i could've designed the map better if i had enough time ๐Ÿ˜…
I made the whole thing in the last 2 hours

Submitted(+1)

Got to the top, liked how having less health (smaller) makes some challenges easier

Developer

If i had more time, i would've designed the level with more ways to utilize that mechanic. I also wanted to make an attack that consumes HP, so if you need to get smaller to go somewhere, you could just attack a bit!

Always my problem with game jams too, things take less time on paper

Developer

Exactly! ๐Ÿ˜
