The game is very fun calming music simple aesthetics

The color palette and minimalist art style work excellently. Puzzles make sense and had a nice difficulty curve. Felt unsatisfying that after a point the game changes and you lose movement. I feel like puzzle game progression should in general add mechanics not take them away. Even with this, my favorite level was the first one without movement lol. Overall, good job and congratulations on the entry!

Developer

The level and mechanic progression definitely would have been better if I’d planned it out ahead of time lol, pretty much every time there’s a new mechanic it was me thinking it’d be cool and throwing it in real quick, I pretty much did the bare minimum before starting making the levels and had no idea how it was going to turn out. Thanks for playing!

good realisation of many mechanics!

only the tutorial is a little bit bad, you guess some things by yourself.

Some levels with new mechanics could be easier I think to reduce the entry threshold.

Developer

The tutorial sucks, I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned it ;-;

Honestly it’s only really there in case you didn’t read the controls, glad you still managed to figure it out.

I think there's a bit of a misunderstanding here, plus I was writing a comment in the translator and immediately pasted it without seeing how it specifically translated my thoughts:

I thought so - went into the game and saw that the whole basis is explained in the levels themselves - so did not go into the description.

I was specifically talking about the moment when you have to use ‘space’ to change the selected beam.

I didn't  realise that I had to do it in the mode while I was controlling the beam (plus that after the spacebar I had to click the arrows). That's basically what I'm talking about

That’s actually the part of the tutorial I thought was bad, no worries. I appreciate the clarification!

Love the clever introduction of more and more ways to use the mechanic! Played it all the way through, puzzles got super tough sometimes! Would love to see some indication of which objects were scalable without having to flip through them.

Well done on the game, loved the puzzles and the twists!

I loved this! I played all the way through and would happily play tons more puzzles like this. Only complaint is that it wasn't immediately obvious to me that you can't move the player in some puzzles, so I thought it was a bug for about a minute the first time I encountered it. Amazing job and really creative take on the theme!

Very fun! Nice use of scale!

This was both elegant and clever—I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a puzzle quite like this before. The uniqueness really stands out. As mentioned earlier, the controls could use some fine-tuning, but that’s part of the game jam experience, and I completely understand. Overall, fantastic work!

Developer

Thanks so much! I’m happy that you found it unique, I didn’t initially start with any interesting mechanic or anything in mind and I was worried that it would blend in a bit too much, but I haven’t seen an interpretation quite like my game and I’m happy with how it turned out.

I really liked the mood you’ve created. nice minimalist style

Really impressive set of puzzles in a short time!

The puzzles were really hard and clever, very fun game. The visuals are simple but effective and the color palate is relaxing. Great job!

Beat the whole thing I can see a lot of people getting stuck on these levels if they don't think outside the box, especially with the mechanic changes.Dope puzzles overall!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed! I didn't realize this game was even a puzzle game lol, it was more intended to be a platformer but that kind of got away from me. I'm actually happy people have been struggling because I thought that it was way too easy.

expanding beyond the initial idea can be pretty cool!

How do I complete this one? Also, it would be cool if I could skip a puzzle

Developer

You can! Press 'P' or 'Esc' to pause and select the skip option. Sorry I didn't explain it in the game :P

(I'm assuming there's a image of a level in the comment but I can't see it for some reason)

Submitted

Oh, I see, thanks! Silly of me not to try Esc

You got a lot of interesting puzzles with aha moments from this simple mechanic. Good job.

Developer

Making the levels for this game was a ton of fun, I'm not usually able to churn out this many of them but I found enough ways to use what I'd made to keep things interesting. Thanks for playing!

The controls took some getting used to, but it was fun. It wasn't always clear what would be scalable or not, so I'd have to cycle through all of them and figure out what was available and their individual limits.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I still mess up with the controls every so often lol, but I tried my best to make them usable. A better way to see what needs to be scaled and how to scale it was planned but of course wasn’t prioritised and I ran out of time. I’m glad you enjoyed it otherwise though (:
