2850!! I really enjoyed this! The bullet penetration made it super satisfy to line enemies up and take them out in one go. And having to constantly clear a path back to the fire was challenging. Thanks for making this!

Developer

Wow nice score!! I agree, the bullet penetration is fun, I initially had them queue free when they hit the goblin but decided that it was much better having them just fly on through. And that is a good strategy; also really satisfying when you get lucky with the random rolls and they drop a bunch of wood! Thank you again for playing, your enjoyment on this means a lot!!

My highscore is 1170.  Game is fun.

Concept and simplicity of the game is cool. Simple shadows from bonfire very well looking.

i think game needs more of details or in-depth mechanincs. What im thinking about is, it could be fun if your projectiles become stronger if they passed your bonfire. Or some different kind of enemies

Developer

Great score! Thank you for the kind comments, I like that idea! Would make good use of the bonfire! Thank you for playing!

Super fun and addicting! I love this!

It would be lovely to see even more - maybe a health indicator (I couldn't tell how much I had or when I was hit), and some additional benefits from the fire getting bigger (maybe enemies get hurt when they step in it?), but what you _do_ has is amazing! Great work!

Developer

For sure! Great ideas! I had a lot of ideas that I'd love to implement, alas with time and work I got in as much as I could. I've already made some adjustments in my free time for practice. :) Thank you for playing!!

Scored 3700 points and made bonfire huge as sun!

Simple but well made. the bold shadow really emphasized bonfire's brightness.

Developer

Wow!! That's not easy, thank you for playing! That means a lot you were able to get there, thank you again!!

Ohhh this is so tough I last like 30 seconds, but the idea and mechanic is cool

Developer

Thank you for trying!! I imagine in a full release of this I'd have some better difficulty curve, with some power ups to make things more enjoyable.

Very atmospheric, enjoyable arcade game. I found the lighting really suited the feel of the game, but was possibly slightly too dim light. The sound effects and music really bring everything together!

Developer

Thank you!!!

I love the arcade style to this game! No to mention it feels like Don't Starve at night when you are sitting by the bonfire at night

Thank you!!!

Really cute and fun little game, reminds me of vampire survivor mixed with sort of tower defense. Great take on the theme of the jam!

Thank you!!

Awesome entry, love the cloud overlay and the parallax effect. Cool color palette and art style!

Developer

Thank you so much! Those beautiful art assets are part of the ninja adventure pack, for free! I appreciate you trying my entry!

The gameplay is simple but really fun, though the clouds are moving way too quickly, it almost made me feel dizzy. Good job on the lighting, it really adds to the atmosphere.

Developer

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback on the clouds! Motion sickness is a very important thing to think about when developing games and great advice I will carry forward.

really fun! I love the whole aesthetic and the atmosphere of it all, super cute. I also think the concept is really neat! Keeping a fire alive is a cool take on the theme.

Thank you so much!
