Cool idea, but bad graphics.

Nice game idea, it can become pretty addictive just to grow the buildings and wait for the monsters.  With bigger kaijus and added game mechanics it's got some potential ! Well done !

Developer

I would have loved to put more juice and explosions in it

It took a little while to understand but then it made sense. pretty cool game, we have a pretty similar theme going on.

Developer

Thanks, that's why I implement an help screen in the menus, but I could have a tutorial screen too

Nice I'll definitely look into it

I played 50 about rounds untill I have build everything possible. About the repair I lost overview. Is there a way to win this game? Obviously I enjoyed playing, so nice job done!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

There is no win possible, I wanted to do something about the kaijus always winning but didn't manage to implemented this in an interestingly way on time

You got a nice idea going here. I can imagine having more building types like a simulation game while also needing to defend from the kaijus.

Developer

I totally have things like that in mind while developping it, but the scope was already big enough

OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT THE CREDITS OF THE KAIJUUUS!!!

My big bad, here it is:
baby kaiju from HydroCosmo https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/baby-kaiju-a82196def7ec40f2b5ac7f880a2b29ba

While I'm not entirely sure how the game fits into the theme this is my first time seeing this kind of game in this jam so good job on the creativity.

The game seems like it could be great fun with some strategy added onto it. I couldn't really understand how can I optimize my playthrough, I just built buildings and upgraded rather arbitrarily maybe if the math of how much money you'd get from each building size / upgrade it would have been easier (at least for me) to get an idea of what I should do or not do.

The Kaijus were very cute!

Thanks, I MAY be update some bits after the game jam... the resource management feed back would be one of them

Submitted(+1)

Very good for the theme. Would have needed more time to be really juicy

Developer

Thanks!

Interesting take, a bit one dimensional but I enjoyed building all the skyscapers to the max! Wish there were more things to do.

The Kaiju looked like Reptar from The Rugrats XD

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! I've spent more time on kaijus AI than planned, so I couldn't put all my ideas in it

(you're not the first to note this >> )

I enjoyed your take on the theme. I'd love to have seen a bit more ways to manipulate the economy so I can make more money to build the buildings. I wasn't quite sure how that worked.

Developer

Thanks! I wasn't sure how to improve this but I agree with you; and basically each building is constituted of X blocks, after each attack phase they all give you income
so the bigger the building are the better the payout

Nice concept! A nice addition could be to start the waves early if you are done before the time runs out. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! There is one button on the top right corner to jump to the defense phase, did it glitched out for you?

Submitted

Nope, my mistake. Missed it completely.
