Good concept, two phase gameplay and thinking about building its own platforming is nice, well done

Thank you!

Nice work!  I love the perspective change on the little guy when he walks left and right.  The puzzles were satisfying, though it's a bit difficult to see where the arrows are on the pieces in the bottom-left corner that are spread out far, because they're much smaller.

Thank you for the feedback!

I was very hopeful with this game, but when I got to the second level I was unable to scale the block. I was clicking as the instructions said and now I feel that I missed out on some great levels.

Developer

Thank you for giving the game a try. We are sorry the controls are unintuitive. To scale the block, you should be able to drag the scalar with a mouse, trackpad or similar input device onto the block. Apologies this was not made clear.

Solid little platforming game! I was quite confused on what to do at first, because I don't know what to drag. I thought it was the colorful little blocks lol. Until I realized that there are two blocks at the bottom left. I think it would be good if the bricks that can be moved is in different color / size / pattern, so that it is more easy to be located by new players. Grid lines to help placing the block exactly on where would also help.

But after learning the mechanic, I played more levels and it is very enjoyable to walk through! Thank you for the game. :)

Thought it would stay simple, but you really surprised me with the later levels! Made me think hard on some levels and decide when to use/not use the scaling. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Hope you enjoyed.

I like this television walking like Mr. Krabs.

I really enjoyed the mechanics of building the level, the style and premise is super cute. Having to completely start over if I missed a jump was a bit painful though, would have loved to just be able to 'restart' with the platforms I put down still in place.  Overall really cute game!

Developer

Totally agree with your pain points! Thank you for the feed back.

The concept is good but the levels feel a bit overdesigned as I was able to make it through a lot of them without using half the shapes and scalers, which works find as a platformer but takes a lot of the satisfaction out of the puzzling. That aside, the art is cute, the music sounds good and everything works very smoothly, well done!

the game is pretty intitutive and mechanic was well implemented! would be great if i can shift thing around and not just on one try

Developer

That would certainly be useful! Thank you for playing our game.

I had a lot of fun playing your game! The visuals are clean, the music is relaxing, and the sound effects add to the experience. Also, I like the background effect. It's simple, but adds a lot!

The puzzle mechanic is well-utilized in the level design. It gives you a lot of freedom and I never felt like the solution was obvious from the start, which is a plus. I also had fun challenging myself to use as few items as possible. The last level is my favorite, because it forced me to think about every obstacle and how to manage my items the most.

The only nitpick I have is that there isn't separate reset option for the platforming portion. Sometimes I'd fall from a parkour and I'd have to reset the layout because of that. The layouts don't take too long to reconstruct, but I'd imagine it could easily get frustrating, especially if it happened multiple times in a row.

Overall, this game is pretty nice in terms of aesthetics, gameplay and level design. Well done!

games are fun and a bit puzzling. overall for 48 hours, game is pretty smooth

I love how you included getting to place the blocks. That's a good way to add more freedom yet you still managed to make it difficult. Amazing job.

Thank you for the kind words.

Really nice little puzzle game that fit the theme well! Definitely had me thinking hard! A small improvement might be to not fully reset the level state when clicking “Retry” while playing as the character, since sometimes I only want to make a small change and don’t want to reset everything. But still an engaging time!

We hear your frustrations! Thanks for the feedback.

Intuitive and polished! I really liked the directional indicator for scaling - it really made me careful about planning and placement as part of the puzzles.

Very nice concept! I really like the multipliers, it gives a lot of depth and possibilities to each blocks piece. Congrats for this clever and cute entry!

So stylish, I loved the effects. The puzzles were too hard for me!

Thanks for giving the game a play!

Nice! Interesting puzzles. I played to level 8 before running out of time, but the puzzles were pretty decent.

Main comments are that it's hard to tell what the blocks will do in your inventory before placing them. Also, once placed you can't move them other than to hit the undo button at the top. That's kinda the same thing, so why not just allow more flexible drags to edit blocks. You could click one of the expanded tiles to undo the grow and return the multiplier to your inventory.

Most annoying thing is failing near the end of a lengthy puzzle because of a misplaced block, then retry removes all your work. Now I've finished playing I wonder if I should have been pressing UNDO rather than RETRY, but it didn't occur to me while I was actually in the game.

Anyhow, very solid game. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the thorough review, and for getting far into the game! Certainly agree with your points regarding the 'quality of life' changes that can be added to the game. Hope you found it fun anyway!
