Very cute side-scrolling puzzle game. I loved how the incorporation of this year's theme was integrated into the gameplay but as 'SETTINGS'. I found this to be a very clever approach. Overall, the mechanics and theme for this game is what it makes it stand out the most.

Such a cool game! I really liked that you could also drag the cubes, this is a mechanic that should be implemented in more puzzle games imho. Moreover, I found the "changing brightness" mechanic very creative. I would've loved to see the "change resolution" mechanic being used as well, but given the time constraints of a game jam, I know how hard it is to design all sorts of puzzles and levels. Great job!

This was such a creative concept and the intro animation was excellent! Reminds me of that one Dexter's Laboratory episode where he gets stuck in his video game system as well, haha. I think the platforming controls need a bit more tuning, though - the platforms felt really sticky, and that combined with the momentum required to push blocks made it really hard to be precise. I also kept forgetting to dismiss the contrast adjustment menu, which was a bit annoying. The laser level seemed to require a level of precision in positioning beyond that I was capable of inputting, unfortunately, so I didn't manage to play until the end, but overall I really enjoyed how creative and stylish this game was!

FWIW, everyone else has noted the spacebar reset issue already, but based on what I observed, it seemed to be that if you ever clicked the reset button, that bound spacebar to the button (since I assume space and click are associated together). This binding would go away between levels until you clicked the reset button again.

Pretty ambitious ideas for this game, along with some interesting animations integrated. Nice work all of you.

I had some difficulties figuring out some of the puzzles but thought it was a nice callback to retro games.  I like the concept, however I do feel like there are some minor changes I'd have liked, similar to others outlined by other people in the comments such as having 2 separate buttons to switch between modes and maybe binding the reset to a button other than space as that can get a bit confusing. Great work though!

Good concept with a visual style that's simple but works. Gameplay is a bit iffy - movement feels sticky for some reason, and either my game is bugging and booting back to the main menu on a level earlier than it should or none of the levels use the aspect ratio mechanic at all.

As a jam submission, it's not bad at all. With some work to make the gameplay smoother, it could also make a decent small-scale release outside the jam.

Nice entry

I love the idea, story elements are always appreciated, music is cool, design is pretty, I think having switch being “E to switch right and Q to switch left” will be more comfy since you don’t need to stop. I think its a bit far from the theme

Overall, nice game. Good job

Lovely entry.

I love the implementation of the theme. I also had that restart bug when I jump at the start, but in the second level it went away. Looks good and challenging. Only suggesting I'd add is maybe binding the left/right switch of E to specific buttons, so it would allow you to switch mid-actions, and not stop your action to switch the state - that can unlock many more options for the player (and also many more challenges!)

Well done :)

Thanks for checking out our game! We would love to try and add more puzzles and features in a future build, so we appreciate the feedback! :)

This brought me back to being a kid playing on the Sega Genesis. Really great vibes, good job!

Thank you so much, we worked extremely hard to get the vibes of the game just right so this was really heartwarming to hear!
