Fun start! My favorite thing to do was to just run through and destroy everything, which probably isn't the intended strategy, but it is a blast!

Developer

Destroy it ALL! :D

Beautiful game, with a fun tone and cheeky gameplay to go along with it. Responsive, no bugs that I found, and fun right out the box. For a first game it's crazy impressive!

As other have said, the base idea and everything that's here makes for a really promising game, so the only upset is that there's not more! If you continued working on it, having the choices have more impact, more decisions relating to what to destroy and so on would be really cool.

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback. There’s so much more we wanted to do; but we also really wanted to finish something that was actually playable. Next time there will be MOAR!

love the art style so much. gameplay is a bit bare-bones but I saw that you ran out of time to add more. so it only means one thing - this game has MASSIVE POTENTIAL. also, it'd be great to have a smoother camera movement (adding a cinemachine would be enough) and parallax background when you develop this further. Lastly, it's unbelievable that this is your first game. Congratulations!

Thanks Osbert. Really appreciate the feedback!

Parallax was on our to do list; but wasn’t aware of cinemachine. Will check it out :)

This was unreasonably enjoyable. I’m not one for playing a lil’ psychopath gnome guy, but gee, that felt good.

hey, we’ve all got to let off steam sometimes!

We have a crested gecko, so enjoyed playing yours too :)

Neat idea for a game. I love the theme and felt a little disappointed that there's not a ton of decisions to be made in the game. It seemed like the best way to play was to just chop down everything a couple times and then sell over and over, which wasn't the most fun experience I can imagine for this game.

Overall a really great effort! There's a lot of content in here and with just a few tweaks I think it'd be great. Really great choice in color palette.

I would highly recommend adding the controls to your pages description, as I had to spam every button on my keyboard to figure out how to interact with the world.

Developer(+1)

You’re right… we ran out of time to tweak the quantities and challenge levels, which would make it much more fun.

Have added the controls to the description page as suggested.

Thanks for playing!

Wow, you really got a lot done! I can see all of the complexity and time put into this project. Good job!

Developer

thanks for playing! we got a surprising amount done; but still bit off a lil bit more than we could chew!

Hello fellow Linux user! I loved the art! Also I saw the previous comment and this is awesome being your first game! The game was really cool.

If you hadn't told me this was your first game, I wouldn't have known it! Incredibly charming, good use of satisfying sound effects, and a nice retro vibe. I think adding a patrolling town guard that would chase you for destroying buildings could add some nice tension in the village, but for a first go this is incredibly well done!

Thanks Mira - we actually really wanted to add angry villagers (as well as some fun dynamics where you get the wrong size stuff and end up building tiny things for big people and big things for tiny people), but just didn't have the time. Really appreciate the feedback! <3
